I'm so fed up. I'm so over it. I'm just done.
I just wanted to buy some tights - log onto shop that sells tights amongst other things.
A picture of some pretty lingerie pops up, I click thinking why not could do with some new knickers... there is a setting where you can see other users pictures of the products and reviews - and so I click to check because I'm not so sure of the quality and without warning I'm subjected to images taken by an obvious male of himself dressed up in lingerie and his comment about how it fits so well. Just the last straw for me this week after having had other predominantly female spaces invaded. I'm just so fed up.

I think I can guess the tights selling company you mean. And yes, that is not what you want to see. I'd buy elsewhere, not sure where though.

That'll be Snag. But they make amazing tights and clothes so they still get my vote.

It's a french indie website and it's not actually their fault so I don't want to name and shame, it's a user who has uploaded and its gotten through their filters somehow. I have emailed them and they have allready taken it down as they agreed it was fetishish.
It's just that this visible guy bought the lingerie (I have no issue with him doing this if it stays private) but then took photos of himself wearing it and posted them knowing full well that women would click not know and be sujected to the images of him. The prinicple is just horrible.

Can you report it?

I've reported it to the website and they have all ready taken it down but I still want to bleach my eyes....

I too wish platforms would be more proactive and not depend on members of the public reporting violations before deleting things.
AI could easily be used to scan photos for appropriateness before going live.

Marks and Spencer used to get lots of reviews of their lingerie items from men with a fetish. They didn't hurry to remove them either, but as far as I know at least there weren't photos. Not sure if this is still the case.

I suspect that many UK companies would not have done so.

The only upside is that the website deleted, replied to me very quickly apologizing and then called me to apologize again ( my phone number is in my email signature). Lady on the phone was also very shocked - the pictures were very suggestive and she doesn't know how they made it through their filters.
So it's sorted now but its just so beurk to be subjected to in your own home. So angry because that man knew full well what he was doing.

I think you should name the company fedup . A company which immediately takes this stuff down and apologises is soooo much better than most of the tights & lingerie suppliers I’ve come across!

Keep in mind the resident plopper/snitch who could well highlight the site to his mates and start a pile on for imagined transphobia.
