Great article here, not just content but clever/witty writing IMO : International Women’s Day is useless for women | Josephine Bartosch | The Critic Magazine

Brighton, Bristol, Nottingham all get a mention (I see there is already a thread on what happened at the latter), but it is also about the whole gamut of organisations that "penalise self-respecting women who dare to suggest that sex matters" - in JB's words.

Also, Miss Scarlet, who am I supposed to hate? Strong nonsense from you today!

Bloody Nottingham. I don’t do anything feminist wise, because our local stuff is not woman focused and I have trans family who’d notice if I got out of line.

Twitch ran a streaming event for IWD and the game picked was Overcooked 2 which is a cooking game. The classic misogynist line of make me a sandwich and get back in the kitchen used on open mics in gaming for years rings in my ears. Though apparently women chose the game.

We are going backwards.

TRAs are "rude, aggressive and confrontational towards people they don't know" as we have seen. And violent- looking at the bloke punching a woman in the face at Hannah the Plumber's 'event'

I suspect that's not what you mean though ScarletBedroom
(starting to think that poster's style is familiar...)

Great article. Jo Bartosch absolutely nails it:
"There is something about these vomit-inducing fanny fests that recalls the spectacle of a domestic abuser turning up with a bunch of flowers."
