There is a thread on AccountingWeb where a man (Peter Saxton) is suggesting that:
-
A woman was let off scott free for a crime - when she wasn't - she was punished and
-
This light/no sentence will be a green light for mothers of young children to commit crime knowing they will basically be let off.
It's a crazy allegation and perspective - and built on an idea that this lady wasn't punished at all for her crime. It worries me that men have these views and confidently announce them. It's like we haven't moved forward very far and we are in a more finely balanced position that we'd like to think regarding how men might treat us and punish us if they had free reign.
I'd post a link, but I think that flags posts? Its the AccountingWeb website. Any Answers section and the thread is "Criminal Accountant"
