High school wrestler was sexually assaulted by a trans opponent during match

A particularly grim example of a trans athlete taking advantage of his opponent during a wrestling match. The girl was 16 and had no idea that she was competing against a male before the match.

it’s a clear example of the sexual motivations of some of these men which are less discussed than the fact that they win trophies.
This is all done while the adults in the room are allowing it to go on in plain sight and the governing bodies are supporting it.

A young female athlete in Washington says she was unknowingly matched against a biological male in a girls wrestling competition. Kallie Keeler says that her opponent, who has now qualified for the state championships, had sexually assaulted her during the course of the match.
Keeler, a 16-year-old sophomore at Rogers High School in Puyallup, spoke to unDivided about the incident, which took place during the Lady Jag Kickoff Tournament on December 6, 2025. Video taken by Keeler’s mother captured the match, in which the girl looks to be at an immediate physical disadvantage against her opponent, who was representing Emerald Ridge High School.
Disturbingly, the video shows Keeler’s face quickly twisting into an expression of panic and confusion. At one point, Keeler is visibly attempting to communicate something to her mother, who couldn’t initially understand her. Keeler later clarified that she had been saying: “Her fingers are in my (vagina).”
Terrified and overwhelmed, Keeler decided to let her opponent win to put a quick end to the bout.
“I just wanted the match to be over,” the teen told unDivided‘s Brandi Kruse. She went on to explain that following the match, a coach from another school approached her and told her she had been wrestling a biological male.

Christ, this is awful to watch. You can see the horror in her face as he’s doing it. I hope he gets done for sexual assault.

HighStreetOtter · 12/02/2026 08:32

I’m assuming all the men saying it’s normal would have no objection to being fingered up the bum while on the mat then. 🤷🏻‍♀️

CraftandGlamour · 12/02/2026 08:40

Pure evil enabled by Be Kinders. That poor child.

According to the comments on the tweet, it happens. It's mostly not considered to be sporting (yeah right) but it's not illegal in some wrestling codes.

I was reading that as it happens by accident when you're wrestling and can't see where your hands are, and wrestlers would quickly correct their position. Surely no sport would be so barbaric as to allow deliberate sexual assault as a strategy. Particularly not in a code adopted for children.

Some men in the comments saying this is "normal practice" in wrestling. That wrestling is famously mixed sex and she's just upset that she lost the match.
Scum! Absolute fucking scum.

But I thought this was a competition for girls?

It is absolutely disgusting what he did. He, and all his enablers must be so proud that he is such a skilled athlete 🙄

It was. From the Reddux coverage, my bolding:

I read that as well. From a male coach and wrestler. He was clear it is usually by accident and never prolonged unless it is deliberate, which he said was very rare.

It made me think that this probably was not the first time that this male wrestler has done this to an opponent. As a strategy to win it’s phenomenal. Psychotic but effective. A journo needs to get on this and interview the girls from all previous bouts. No way this is a first offence

It's common and happens but obviously that girl only consented to wrestling with other girls. The boy deceived her but he's been led to believe he's actually a girl. It didn't look intentional SA. Adults should never have allowed this, it's totally messed up.

A common technique?

I know nothing about wrestling but you’re telling me it is acceptable to gouge at someone’s genitals in a sporting match?

BiologicalRobot · 12/02/2026 10:03

If it's a common technique then how many girls are fingering their female opponent during a match? I bet zero and it's just a male tactic.

It's a martial art. They're are grips/locks you can use which go very near /on genitals. You might learn them if you did self defence. I wouldn't say it's acceptable or sporting. This was SA because she didn't consent to be against a male rather than a female.

Possibly you're right. I think women try to avoid doing that to each other. Men might have fewer issues with it

QuickPeachPoet · 12/02/2026 10:38

This is absolutely disgusting. The sex act is obviously vile, but even pairing her against a boy could have left her open to serious injury in a contact fighting sport.
Did her coach know she would be fighting a boy before she stepped into the ring? If so why wasn't she pulled from the competition for her safety?

Surely, if it was a common technique, then all female wrestlers would be taught how to avoid those grips... or ... there would be a signal for wrestlers to give to refs to indicate that it was happening. Because penetration in this way would have to be judged to be assault.

AnxiousUniParent · 12/02/2026 10:51

If it is a common technique then I think it is time to revisit the rules.

This girl and the others who have been assaulted by this boy, all deserve protection from sexual assault and acces to fair competition.

guinnessguzzler · 12/02/2026 11:06

Yes. This match was girls only but that hasn't stopped some misogynistic fucktards in the comments.

I think that unwanted touching of the genitals is SA whether it’s a male or female thats doing it! Some holds or techniques may be controversial or accidental, but I can’t believe that this would ever be a legal move for someone to purposefully do this in a sports match. I know it’s a different sport but this is the very definition of “below the belt”?!

It is very upsetting that America, which has produced so many superb athletes, has fallen to this abhorrent level and now not only condones cheating, but also the sexual assaulting of a girl in the guise of it being ‘what happens in this sport’.

Helleofabore · 17/02/2026 03:12

I could not see how he would have been allowed to continue to compete with a law enforcement agency investigation ongoing. Sure there is innocent before being proven guilty, but this would be both leaving him open to further claims and negligent safeguarding by the organisers.
