Rip4nutmeg has a thread on x revealing that a surgeon who performs 'sex change' operations, including on young people such as Jazz Jennings, visited the island with three children. Jess Ting was also given thousands of dollars which emails suggest was invested in transgender 'research'

This visit to bring 3 children to the island was after Epstein had been convicted.

What Is your point?

It’s a mystery.

RoyalCorgi · 06/02/2026 21:22

There's a right-wing account on X called Millennial Woes. I don't think Millennial and I agree about very much but about a year ago he posted this tweet:

"It's amazing how much leftist discourse is just them pretending not to understand things, thus making discourse impossible."

The truth of this hit me instantly, and of course, you see it nowhere more than in the trans debate, and particularly on this board. onepostwonder's post is the perfect illustration. He (I assume it's a he) knows perfectly well that our discussion is about the harm caused to children by cross-sex hormones and surgery and our understanding that this is in the service of the sexual appetites of adult men. But his comment pretends not to understand it, to pretend that the point we are making is something different entirely.

Once you've noticed it once, you see it everywhere - but most commonly, as in the current thread about the Australian prison, in the pretence that when we object to men in women's spaces, we are objecting to a particular kind of woman ("trans women"), and that when we object to men like Imane Khelif fighting against women, we are objecting to them because they are insufficiently feminine.

It's so utterly, pointlessly exhausting, having to argue against these bad faith takes all the time because the people making them are incapable of arguing honestly.

Straw men are what these people deal in, so they don’t have to engage with anything they can’t argue against.

Straw men are what these people deal in, so they don’t have to engage with anything they can’t argue against.

And everything springs from that assertion - “transwomen are women” (and biological sex is impossible to define) - without it, they have nothing. (Dr Upton was savvy enough to realise that, so didn’t bother to do anything more than simply stick to his assertion that sex is a nebulous concept and he is a biological women, making it almost impossible to have a rational discussion with him.)
Then the DARVO kicks in big time, and we are the straw-manners, and material reality is no more than a conspiracy theory.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/02/2026 08:00

This poster has pulled that one on other threads too.

No.
It involves someone from Epsteins team wanting to get tickets to The Cursed Child on Broadway.
Nothing to do with JK.

Christ, what a reach.

Exactly. But TRAs are still pushing this narrative and taking it to its most extreme conclusions.

The ideology really does rest on lies.

They have no idea that this kind of manufactured outrage over JKR, rather than the girls Epstein abused, makes them look appalling.

No! There is no truth in that, it's purely just another attempt to smear Jkrowling, don't fall for it. She did no such thing. Factcheck needed.

Vile stuff. It also features JKR (or her team) inviting Epstein to the Cursed Child premiere, long after the trafficking had come to light. Very concerning.

Straight in there with the derailing I see. Yer again. One could almost think it’s coordinated.

MarieDeGournay · 02/02/2026 11:34

Vile indeed, and deeply disturbing, e.g. being 'brought to J's island to play with his 'toys'.
And the three children who came along were not related to Ting.
What 'fun' were they going to have on the island?

I'm a bit puzzled that there was so much correspondence about just one day on the island - it seems like an awful lot of effort for A Grand Day Out with the kids.
I wonder what was really going on.

The JKR connection is a nothing, apparently - nothing to do with JKR herself, your 'or her team' is significant, and all to do with getting a ticket to a public event.

Hopefully the actual comms will be published so that can be clarified.

That phrase jumped out at me as well. So sinister.

The depressing element is not just Epstein and his huge list of elite men and some women making use of his ‘toys’ but the vast network of underlings facilitating the abuse. These will have been more ordinary people including Stephanie and Daphne running the island and Epstein’s office to organise the ‘play dates’. It’s sickening. Like the underlings who facilitated Weinstein’s rapes and abuse of young actresses. The drivers, pa’s, security guards, and secretaries. They all knew what was about to happen in contrast to the young women themselves.

I’d have dearly loved to see these people also charged with trafficking and held accountable for their complicity. But these people also manage to avoid being held accountable. No one is.

TheFilliesWillRiseAgain · 10/03/2026 08:41

Why hasn't Jess Ting been arrested?

DrBlackbird · 10/03/2026 08:56

Timpanic · 04/02/2026 04:47

You're really comparing JK Rowling's "involvement" with Epstein to Jess Ting's? They're on such vastly different levels that it makes you seem extremely unreasonable.

Exactly.

Jess Ting’s name appears in (at least) 466 separate documents in the Epstein Files. Mount Sinai, the hospital from which he operates, appears in (at least) 1,093 separate documents.

Ting and Epstein knew each other for over a decade and Ting visited Epstein’s island, but right, he’s on par with JKR. Every time I read one of those posts, I’m reminded how TRAs and genderists have poor reading comprehension and limited reasoning.

That’s absolutely chilling. Dr Ting happily stitching someone up on a dining table?? That girl or woman should have been medevaced to an actual hospital, something well within the means of Epstein’s estate to arrange. It’s truly depressing to see medical doctors betraying their vocation to do something like this - Jess Ting wasn’t the only one by any means. And who the hell were the kids he took to the island anyway??

DrBlackbird · 11/03/2026 06:52

All those girls abused for years and still only two people charged. What about those who facilitate like these two men?
