I think you wanted to post in here:
https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/pregnancy where it is generally accepted that you use "gender scan" to mean "finding out what sex a baby is"

If you deliberately posted this in Feminism you are just trying to start an argument.

Good luck with your pregnancy.

looks more like a demifemme non binary greygender to me.

I suspect agender. Or possibly a furrie.

I don't think a social construct can show up on an ultrasound so hopefully they advised you for the sex at conception

I read a really interesting book before DC2 about how to influence the sex of the baby by timing intercourse in relation to day of ovulation. Strange it never mentioned gender...

Can’t tell from that picture if the baby is wearing heels and makeup or prefers short hair and football. I am sure it will tell your midwife at birth along with its sexuality so she can fill in the NHS forms…

RedToothBrush · 01/02/2026 23:46

I think that the mother who was scanned is a woman (previously a girl) and she needed a father (who is grown up boy) to provide her with small gametes to mix with her large gamete to produce a viable fetus...

... when the baby is born, the hospital staff will look at its bits and confidently record the baby's sex on the birth certificate. They will not record a gender because that's made up nonsense.

That must be how this "assigned at birth" business works.
