Glinner Bullseye comment on X

Thatcatsaflippingnightmare · 09/01/2026 20:41

Always trying to explain Glinner to DH, today he showed me on X JD Vance defending murder of the woman by ICE. Glinner had replied something like 'bullseye', as in agreement. I tried to comprehend with "satire?" but he said no he's on Liz truss show these days. I said well he's always been about protecting women and children, he's not suddenly supporting femicide, but the post convinced DH otherwise. Any insights? I'm not on social media

delurking to say anyone still backing glinner after his retweets wants a word with themself. "protecting women and girls" is a smokescreen - he doesn't respect women, look at how he reacts when they disagree with him. if he respected women he wouldnt chosen X over his family.

and what about his substack? isn't that written by women, and are they not unpaid? if thats true then where is the subscription money going if not Glinner's own pockets?? and wtf is glinner doing making a merch store with shirts of himself??

this is grifting. and now his X activity is making that clear to people late to the truth. if he gave a hoot about protecting women he wouldnt be retweeting the vile misogynistic stuff on X about the lady in the car. or saying vance said a bullseye. or sicking his followers on Rosie Jones. deplorable man. he doesn't belong on this website either.

I would really like to know whether or not guest writers were paid for their posts. I’ve never seen it made clear what the situation was in that regard.

Glinner announced today that ripx4nutmeg, who does the weekly compilation of Genderism-related news has decided to stop writing them because she feels they’re less necessary now.

Graham Linehan (@Glinner) on X

Farewell to @ripx4nutmeg, who feels the victories of the last year have made her weekly updates less urgent. I disagree, of course, but I trust her judgement too. Link in bio! I know what she means, though. We've won the war, even if battles continue...

I think "bootlickers" is a fairly mild term for people who blame a woman for her own murder.

Renee Good appears to have been a vulnerable adult who was swayed by her partner (a former US veteran) to engage in a dangerous political protest despite having a six-year-old child with no father.

Her son's father (also a former veteran who suffered with PTSD) died 2 years ago from an unspecified cause at the young age of 36.

The ICE officer who shot her is also a former US veteran.

This is a tragedy all round.

is that the reason or has she realised she's working for a man who feels comfortable retweeting jokes and attacks on a murdered woman and is going too far right to be associated with him anymore.............

She retweeted the post announcing it and I don’t see a statement by her contradicting the tweet so I’m presuming it’s because she no longer feels it’s necessary.

I think Nutmeg’s correct to a certain degree, in that mainstream newspapers are more likely to cover this topic from a wider range of views these days. They seem to have finally realised that there is big public interest.

And we also have outlets like ReduXX covering the nitty gritty too.

FastBiscuit · 11/01/2026 17:32

doesn't really matter. glinner is a disgusting person so the more people leaving him the merrier.

She was a committed protester who put her son into a school that promoted political action. And that's OK. America is a democracy, protest is supposed to be allowed, even disruptive protest. Nobody should be killed for it.

In the last few hours, he’s also had a pop at Rosie Jones, who has obviously offended him at some point or other, perhaps by having a job at the BBC when he doesn’t. The comments under this tweet are particularly disgusting (and he no doubt was aware this would happen).

https://x.com/glinner/status/2010118349129150691?s=61&t=3wYru9P_J0h74BXKFXAfmw

Some of the comments under that are absolutely foul. Something has happened to him, he’s gone off the edge. He’s posting anti-women abuse and half GC protecting women stuff. It’s like he’s become split down the middle. If it wasn’t so fucking repugnant, it would almost be worrying.

I wonder if it’s a ‘back slowly away’ situation for her, given the tweets.

Tadpolesinponds · 11/01/2026 18:30

Do you think that moving to the US where there's such a massive political divide has pushed him over the edge - his gender critical views aligning him with the hard right in America? I imagine it must be very difficult to be a gender critical liberal over there. Not making excuses for him though. I wonder how thought-out this change in direction is. Is he messed up psychologically or is it about finding popularity and money in his new life?

She was described as a 'legal observer' and regardless of what anyone thinks about the ins and outs of whether she should have got out of the car, I don't think it's difficult to understand why people might believe there should be witnesses to ICE activities and why there are protests.

Just this incident demonstrates that the government has no interest in even maintaining the pretence that they care about the way ICE officers carry out their duties.

you sound surprised that GC views would lead further down a hard right rabbit hole?

he's always been a horrible person on X. he's showing his true colours now. he doesn't care about protecting women. he just wants women's money.

people donating to him, why did you? did it not feel strange giving your money to a man with no job but a nice home in London so he could spend his days on X?

could it not have been donated to actual womens causes like shelter for DV victims or childrens charities?

when will it finally smelling fishy if this current far right lean isn't enough to make you realise you've been had?

Here he is retweeting a call to repeal the 19th Amendment of the US Constitution. This is the amendment that granted women the right to vote.

Blimey. That is misogyny writ big.

What on earth is “ hard right “
about GC views? 😄

Went on Glinner's thread in Nitter. Turns out he's a racist now.😒

It was always going to turn out like this.
A white, straight, man who leads the charge against a vulnerable group. He went for the low-hanging fruit first, but we all know how it plays out and who the next people he targets will be, because this is how it always goes.

glinners journey as a defender of women ends here. its never been about women its been about his wallet.

does he read what he retweets?

repealing womens right to vote. lol. if that doesnt make the scales fall from some eyes then nothing will.

There have been quite a number of Glinners substack posts - not all of them, to be clear - that I find dubious.

When things were starting to go quiet he'd suddenly post something which you could almost believe had been written to generate outrage (traffic and clicks).

I'm not sure what this means, but women were defending their sex based rights long before Linehan started posting about this issue.

Are women's voices too high for you to hear or do you just struggle to accept that they are full human beings?

Oh my god. Did people here actually donate to Glinner?!? How clueless can you get 🫠🤣🫠

Yes, in the form of "gardening" (trying to get round MN guidelines of not being able to post about crowdfunding)

TheBeaTgoeson1 · 11/01/2026 19:46

I have never donated any money to him so I can't answer that.

But if we are answering questions, perhaps you could answer the question you were asked earlier - why do you think it's 'right wing' to defend women's rights and fight against the imposition of gender?
