Gender Critical Greens

Apologies if there's already a thread on this, but I've just seen that there are a group of Gender Critical Greens! This gives me hope as I've not seen ANY political party I can get on board with that are gender critical so far. Do we think this could be a strong option? It will depend on their numbers I suppose.

Most of the parties have a GC women's group, I think. The Greens regularly expel theirs, whereas other parties tend to merely ban them from conferences.

The group's existence is unfortunately no indication of the stance of the party.

Sadly too many in the Greens get over excited at the prospect of finding women to punish for wrongthink. Not a safe place for intelligent, independent thinkers it seems.

I haven't run the numbers, but it wouldn't surprise me if there are now more 'greens in exile' than there are greens who're still members of GPEW and thus eligible for the gender-critical Greens group or Green Party Women's Declaration. There are probably even more who have just walked away from politics. I like to think those that have walked away are finding other ways to promote green ideas, since Polanski certainly isn't, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I realised a while ago that as things stand, I'm likely to be spoiling my ballot for the foreseeable future. That's depressing, but liberating, because it has encouraged me to think about what I personally can actually do - and whilst I was never going to be a political activist, there are plenty of projects with a loosely green agenda where my skills and temperament are a much better fit. I'm not changing the world, but I have the satisfaction of doing things I enjoy and sometimes making a real difference. Probably more than I've ever achieved at the ballot box.
