Most the information on the documents, like names and birthdays, is redacted. Several of the passports and IDs are marked as female for gender, including ones from Russia, Czech Republic, South Africa, Ukraine, and Lithuania.

The images released today are related to the late convicted sex offender and are separate from the "Epstein files" held by the justice department.

Yeah, it’s a little tenuous tbh, and arguably more accurate for the BBC to use ‘gender’ in the report because most passports use that word instead of ‘sex.’

However, we all know that Epstein, and at least some of the people he associated with, were only interested in exploiting young women because of their sex.
