Just that really - are there any good unions who are supportive of gc stances?
Tia.

I believe lots of women have joined Affinity as it focuses on workers rights rather than trans activist demands?

The only "real" trade union that serves its purpose left in the UK is the RMT and it is apparently pretty GC , well Eddie Dempsey ,the GS is supposwd to be . Unfortunately, I don't work in the railways😭. All the rest are pretty grim. I am in GMB and they are shite as well but I like a couple of GC female reps. I wish we had a women's TU. I know there has been some talk of that over the years.

For what it’s worth, I’m in Prospect and so far as I’m aware, they haven’t said anything in either direction since the Supreme Court judgment. Unless anyone knows different/I missed something, I am assuming this means that at least they are not captured in the way Unison and PCS obviously are.

"The RMT (National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers) strongly supports trans rights, having an established LGBT+ Committee, promoting equality via its rules against discrimination, and campaigning for trans members' inclusion, safety (addressing bullying/harassment), and equal rights, aligning with the Equality Act and pushing for policies against anti-trans legislation both in the UK and internationally. They provide resources, hold conferences, and advocate for non-binary inclusivity, recognizing trans rights as integral to working-class solidarity. "

I left Unison and joined Affinity in about 2018/19 (I think) after some ridiculousness at a Unison conference. As I remember, lots of women left at the same time. I asked for some answers to specific questions, never got them. Never heard from them again.

Affinity are good, I’ve used them twice, nothing major, just checking my understanding of employment law.

Their subs are much more reasonable too.
