What a lovely collection of baubles! Thank you Android!

ifIwerenotanandroid · 17/12/2025 17:31

Any of our other regulars who want to join in, let me know.

Have we agreed when the unwrapping is yet? Can't wait to see what somebody bought/made me!

My username doesn't lend itself easily to visualisation attempts 😉but if I have an icon it's our beloved jet-black cat, who I would love to see on a bauble, Android.

SionnachRuadh · 17/12/2025 19:21

I love all the baubles. ❤

lcedcakethereforeIam · 17/12/2025 19:27

I was worried I would be forgotten but I love my bauble. Maud gives good bauble.

If the real Francis Bacon 🥓 had kept more dogs he might have painted cheerier paintings.

FuzzyPuffling · 17/12/2025 19:28

I love the baubles very much. Thank-you android.
I'm feeling a bit meh about Christmas, so everyone on a shiny gold bauble, offering festive treats, is a joy. X

RandomHypatia · 17/12/2025 19:35

I am incredibly glad I'm not a teacher right now. My son's P1 class (equivalent to Reception in England) all look exhausted, with their parents looking haggard at drop off. There's been a lot of flu and it's been a long term - plus not much daylight in December in Scotland. I don't know how their teachers still act happy and are patient with them all.

The baubles all look amazing, but I'm currently enjoying different colour death stars shining in the lights of our Christmas tree.

StarryCat · 17/12/2025 19:39

The baubles are wonderful @ifIwerenotanandroid delighted to be in there.

RandomHypatia · 17/12/2025 19:45

I started reading this one and decided it was over my head. I have limited legal knowledge. If you've been following, do you think she's likely to win? I'd hoped for a decision on the Hampstead Heath ponds going forward today, but we have to wait a while for that now.

ShinyBlueTractor · 17/12/2025 19:46

RandomHypatia · 17/12/2025 18:42

A mojito please bar gerbil. I haven't written a single Christmas card and have huge amounts of work to do before Christmas. I can get some work done tonight or write Christmas cards. I can't be bothered to do either but will probably write cards. If son goes to sleep quickly so I actually have free time. I need to be productive with work tomorrow and I'm not convinced I will be. I am so incredibly ready for some time off. I want to sit and watch Christmas films during the day like my son is at school.

Line em up, I say, Hypatia. All the mojitos and no risk of a hangover when you've got stuff to do tomorrow - perfect. May I join you for one? (I'll be a table top size tractor for this purpose)

SionnachRuadh · 17/12/2025 19:50

I can't watch all the tribunal threads, much as I'd like to.

And the more time I spend on the Sandie Peggie threads, the more I post in Scots, or my divergent Irish version of it.

I once discovered a novelist whose writing style could have been described as so Welsh, you needed to read them with an accent. I wish I could remember who they were.

Love the bauble, @ifIwerenotanandroid

I look terribly stern, which suits my frame of mind this evening. I had to put the bins out in the dark, after the horror of emptying the kitchen bin. The bag ripped. Dettol spray was required. Say no more.

Plus Batshit got underfoot during the effing and blinding, and was almost trodden on. Brains had the, well, brains to stay out of the way.

I thought she did have a good chance because there is a direct link of Stonewall saying - oi! She's a terf! You're our supporter and we might just make things difficult for you if you don't do something about it. The implication being to condemn Bailey or get rid of her.

But the court may say it's not obvious so she loses. And we've seen the courts behave obtusely in these cases. Though this is more about the implication of Stonewall's words to her employer and whether her employer followed their "direction".
So I don't know, but I hope she wins.

RandomHypatia · 17/12/2025 19:56

Fingers crossed

Beautiful baubles! I may continue to be AWOL for a while - up to my neck in Christmas stuff. I am a third of the way through my Christmas email list (I gave up sending actual cards a couple of years ago and I send a letter and a picture these days). I refused to do a traditional Christmas dinner this year - my DS and DDIL and the three kids are coming up from NJ for Christmas, along with DDIL's DSis and husband and two kids. Last year we all had a sit down dinner at my house and it was exhausting, so this year I've said I'm doing a mid-afternoon buffet to which they are all welcome, and to please bring a contribution they can pick up at a supermarket. On Boxing Day (not that anybody knows what that is here) we are having a big family get-together potluck of DDIL's family, as her DGM is now in her late 80s and asked everybody to do that, so I'm taking a contribution to that as well. They've hired the local Legion Hall, which has a reasonable kitchen, and I think there may be 25-30 of us. Thank goodness they're all going home a day or two later!

Magpiecomplex · 17/12/2025 21:28

Gorgeous baubles, thanks Android! One more teaching day for me, then an admin day, and then I can dissolve into a small puddle.

Thank you so much for my beautiful bauble, Android. Trying to imagine the real-life version allowing his person to be adorned with a festive hat and neck ribbon. They'd last 2 minutes at most. 😂😂

MarieDeGournay · 17/12/2025 22:41

Glad to hear from you Britinme, you were missedSmile
Thanksgiving and Christmas don't give you much recovery time, do they?
It sounds full-on, hope it all goes well🎄

MarieDeGournay · 17/12/2025 22:43

Hedgy, when I opened my laptop just now, look what popped up on the screen. Looking very snugglySmile

sloths hello GIF

Thank you very much for all the beautiful baubles, Android. Very Christmassy and delightful all round. Very cheering too, as in recent days I have been a bit of a sloth in a slough 🥰

I am sorry to hear of so many bluestockingers having difficult times at the moment. Sending love and big friendly thoughts and even hugs, if required, to all of you.
