You Gov survey 8/12/25 on Academic Freedoms and FoS

I Received an invite to a YouGov survey this morning asking views on academic freedoms in universities and how these have been communicated. It then asked my views as to whether I would feel safe discussing issues on and off campus such as racism, sex and gender issues, immigration, etc. The survey then asked about my views on freedom of speech in general. I would recommend if you have received a similar invite you take this survey.

I’d love to fill in such a survey. How do they recruit their sample I wonder?

Im part of their panel. I am taking a post-graduate course so am logged as a student. The Qs initially started with academic freedoms at uni but moved to society. It was brief. But it was great to be able to comment that at public meetings I would not feel safe expressing my gender critical views. The same questions were asked for race, immigration, politics etc.
