That’s a Facebook post written by whom? The sycophancy is strong there.
Zack is a brilliant and inspirational speaker of churchillian proportions when talking in hyperbole about the meta issues. You’d hope so from someone taught drama and worked as a hypnotist.
To me, there are more important questions about actions vs words. What knowledge does he possess? What did his education entail? What has he done with his life and what work has he done? Here’s a clip from Wikipedia:
Polanski worked with the theatre company DifferencENGINE as an immersive theatre actor, including appearances in The Hollow Hotel and The People's Revolt (in the Tower of London).[8][9] He taught at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts and the National Centre for Circus Arts. Polanski also sang for the London International Gospel Choir.[10][11][12] Polanski also worked as a hypnotherapist. In 2013, a journalist for The Sun requested a hypnotherapy session from him to increase her breast size and body image self-confidence for an article in the paper.
He advocates for the abolition of the House of Lords - which oddly has acted as a check on parliament - and is critical of the UK's relationship with the United States and NATO, and advocates the UK's eventual withdrawal from NATO. Thus, he’s advocating for alienating the UK’s second biggest trading partner when we’re struggling from Brexit and being a useful fool for Moscow at a time of its worst aggression towards Europe.
So, in summary, someone leading the Green Party has done some immersive acting, taught immersive (?) acting, sang and was a hypnotist before turning his chances to politics. He’s not alone. Johnson was also a political chancer, likewise Cameron and there are others. But I despair at the lack of informed and deep understanding of the issues that appears to be prevalent in too many of our populist leaders.
In my opinion, and until shown different, Polanski is just another politician of that ilk. A silver tongued fast talking gay man with no skin in the game on women’s rights so easy for him to preach the #bekind mantra of the gender ideology.
I get that people are struggling and deeply concerned about the environment but in my viewpoint, the GP is not the party that is serious about the difficult choices and tricky balancing act between protecting the environment and protecting jobs. If it were, it would’ve elected a different leader. Such a shame.
