Great speech.

And once again, they are not safe because of the other men. Not women. They are vulnerable in male prisons because the male prisoners are likely to abuse them.

The problem is men. Until ALL men learn to behave properly, we need single sex spaces.

But if they just wore normal prison outfits who’s to know they are anything other than normal men?

Obviously the ones who have fake boobs or extreme facial surgery might stand out but the vast majority wouldn’t be distinguishable.

The next door neighbours of the paedophile who was put into Downview (and I think started a ‘sexual relationship’ with a vulnerable prisoner) had no idea he called himself a woman.

I thought that part of the point of locking these men up was to stop them from raping again, not to make rape easier by giving them a supply of captive victims?

Well yes, in a sane world. And we would have kept the paedophile away from the prisons with a mother and baby unit too but sadly our world is insane in many ways.

I misremembered. He was put into HMP Bronzefield which has a mother and baby unit. And remember that because female prisoners are far less violent than men, women’s prisons do not have the levels of security to deal with a man. Especially a paedophile man.

I have read reports that association is allowed during the day and that in some cases make prisoners have been found staring at the babies. They are clearly not fully segregated. All it takes is one small mistake on the part of the prison staff and the paedophile is in with babies.
