"Nicky" is really annoying and talking about load of nonsense
A brownie leader inviting boys identifying as girls into her group!!! What about the view of the girls or parents??
Now onto Ok if reassignment surgery!

Ps HJ was fab- as per usual

CassOle · 03/12/2025 12:35

I told the radio to fuck off at that point.

Never be kind to someone else to the detriment of yourself!

Coatsoff42 · 03/12/2025 12:36

Helen Joyce - BOOM.

I thought transactual were supposed to be a professional outfit, they came off as quite wishy washy and didn’t have any clear points.

I didn't listen but I hope reassignment surgery had nothing to do with the gg part. It affects under 18s...

FranticFrankie · 03/12/2025 12:43

@NextRinny I think it was relating to leaders (struggling to recall now)

Interestingly, the transactual spokesperson said if trans identifying boys are asked to leave it might 'out' them. They might not be out to anyone?

That’s silly.
kids leave clubs for all sorts of reasons.

That’s the fantasy. No one knows.

Also, why is there shame in being a gender non conforming boy, or a boy with mental health issues.
If you really wanted to hide it, force them to be gender conforming straight straight straight. But if you are supportive of their expression of their diverse and wonderful personality, then why go stealth as if it is shameful?

ItsCoolForCats · 03/12/2025 13:15

Are we really expected to believe that nobody knew these "trans girls" are really boys. It is so ridiculous. I know they have been busy gaslighting girls for the last decade or so, but they are not stupid.

I listened to a bit of Jeremy Vine and it is really frustrating to hear leaders say they are upset and frame it as affecting the LGBT community. Girls who are same sex attracted are welcome at Guides. Girls who identify as trans or non-binary are welcome. The only ones who aren't welcome are boys, because it is a single sex org for girls.

And the person from Trans actual mentioning abortion. FFS. Some moron on Reddit said they will be coming for lesbians next 🙄

Ohyoudodoyou · 03/12/2025 13:18

as the arguments were being put forward I was yelling at the radio! My journey to this point where I now absolutely insist on boundaries is remarkable, I’ll bet many of us feel the same. If you asked me say 7 years ago, I’d have argued that there were so few trans women that it was kind to allow them to change births certs, use women’s spaces without question as it made so little impact. Lord! I’m now so schooled in all the rational points that I know my mates feel the same as me. No blurring of boundaries, that way leads to disaster for women and girls.

That's because there are no clear or logical points, as well evidenced by every single court case so far brought.

Keeptoiletssafe · 03/12/2025 13:52

Their toilet research is useful to a degree, as is Transluscents. It is contradictory and doesn’t prove what they want it to though, in fact makes their case weaker. It’s usually very opinion-based rather than fact based.

FFS, "you don't sound kind enough". Nobody cares how unkind all this has been to girls and women who have suffered abuse, or disabled females reliant on care or any of us who just don't believe this shite.
What he didn't touch on was the trips guides go on. If you include boys who identify as girls the accommodation and facilities are no longer single sex. Also, what better age than primary age to teach boys to be tolerant and kind to other boys who don't fit in to stereotypes - encourage them in to the Scouts.

They can't hide their sex for more than a few years anyway. Puberty will leave it in no doubt. Even if they were on puberty blockers it would be obvious they weren't developing normally.

And a clip of Helen (presumably from that interview, but I didn't listen cos Jeremy Vine irritates me too much) was included in the 3 o'clock news too. Definitely a shift from the BBC
