We have signed a Section 23 agreement with the Welsh Government. This includes a formal action plan to improve compliance with the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED).

The agreement is legally binding.

We have made this agreement because we have identified several areas where the Welsh Government has not been complying with the PSED.

Well, well, well... Will that agreement extend to the Welsh government's compliance with the recent Supreme Court judgment? Speaking as a longtime resident of Wales, I've seen little sign so far that it is taking women's sex-based rights seriously.

I emailed Jane Hutt in September to ask if the WAG was one of the organisations that the EHRC had contacted and the reply I got was

"Welsh Government has not been contacted by EHRC with regards to reviewing policies. I am unable to comment on the position with regards to The Senedd ..."

Sounds like my MS lied to me, what a shocker. I bet it won't stop them hiding behind the excuse 'we're waiting for the guidance to come out' though. 🤬
