Oh FFS 🤦‍♀️. Not many people mind if 5 year olds of different sexes share a tent, but 15 year olds? 17 year olds? Come on scouting can you not see any safeguarding issues here? Anything?

The " mixed gender toilets " is awful, but scouts have allowed mixed sex sleeping arrangements for a long time, as long as everyone knows amd everyone is happy. Though I suppose trans identifying children have the potential to " stealth" and nobody can agree to that.
Girls could always go to Guides...ah! ( hopefully sarcasm detected. )

Scouts allows mixed sex sleeping arrangements as long as there's single sex changing facilities (including single toilet cubicles). Its not just "Trans" guidance, its a safety feature acknowledging sometimes emergencies happen.

Yes, our scout leaders sent a message before one camp where they were sleeping in life-rafts not tents (sea scouts) that due to numbers there might be mixed sex overnight accommodation and to please tell them if you are not happy with it and they would ensure single sex. 99 per cent sure it had nothing to do with trans members. Better if it's transparent that there's mixed sex situations than parents being led to believe it's single sex when it's not.
