PSHE and Jigsaw

Our school (primary) have recently adopted the Jigsaw programme for PSHE. I know it was problematic a few years ago but I’m struggling to find anything more recent.

Had anyone seen anything on the Jigsaw PSHE programme post 2023?

Following with interest. My children's school used Jigsaw but have gone over to a different provider after a change in academy trust. But i think it is still widely used in our city.

I'm afraid it's not good news. Transgender Trend managed to get a copy of the hidden teaching notes for year 6 primary and concluded that the resources are not compliant with the Cass Review, KCSIE 2024 and the 2025 Supreme Court ruling on the definition of sex in the Equality Act. Which is incredibly serious. Hopefully the attached link will give enough info for parents to challenge schools:

Jigsaw and their hidden agenda for primary schools - Transgender Trend

Jigsaw is one of the top 3 providers of PHSE resources for schools. Their teaching of 'gender identity' is not apparent on their website.

Thank you. That’s depressing news

It is awful this is now being mixed with ‘mindfulness’. Mindfulness is not supposed to have anything to do with putting ideas into the heads of children while they are being ‘Mindful’.

Just clear off Jigsaw with your marketing ploy cuddly toys. Creeps.

I can’t help seeing it as a form of hypnosis

@MrsOvertonsWindow
I have just seen this in a year 3 PSHE plan.

that for some people gender identity does not correspond with their biological sex

Is it still legal to teach this do you know?

Now I have just read that the government has watered down the new KCSIE safeguards for children which were first drafted by the previous government -just as it was pretty clear they would from Bridget Phillipson’s remarks, when questioned about this, even before the election.

Somehow I had hoped though, after the Cass review and the Supreme Court ruling, that children would finally be protected from being told by their teachers that some of them must have the wrong body for their mind and this is what explains their feelings of being odd and different.

It's depressing that this has happened. Allowing queer theory activists to influence any part of the curriculum has been a disaster - the TT link above is very helpful in highlighting the problem.
