Bays water have asked ofcom to investigate the BBCs one-sided pro trans programing and children's content. I doubt that the captured ofcom will do anything but its more sunlight

I'm not sure ofcom has any power over the BBC, unless it's changed recently the BBC launches its own investigations into it's self.

Like the Catholic church.

OFCOM does regulate the BBC but in common with other broadcasters you must exhaust the BBC's complaints procedure before you can complain to OFCOM.

Thanks for the token, read the whole document, robust argumentation

Interesting article thanks OP. The BBC seem determined to bat this issue on trans bias into the long grass. Like others, I complained to them last week that their reporting on BBC bias was of itself biased.

Thank you Hoardasaurus. That will be interesting to watch out for.

As you say, they may not get any outcome. But worth doing.

Well done Bayswater Support Group and here’s hoping you get ‘em good

I would be amazed (and pleased) if this got anywhere. ofcom are a captured organisation and have failed to act in several complaints I know of from other organisations regarding this issue.

Some of those complaining did complain to the BBC but got no response from them so I guess that classes as exhausting the BBCs complaints system.

Just read this article and came to see if there was a thread. I think this is such a powerful action, coming from parents. And if Ofcom does nothing, the next step would be to take it to the government to see what action they can take. So far, the BBC chair’s excuses for their pro-trans bias has been that nothing they have broadcast/ published has contravened Ofcom’s rules but unanimous parental voices are a very different voice for a government to ignore… the BBc may live to regret the way they dismissed their concerns.

Maybe the shit the BBC have now dropped themselves in will lead to a change in the way Ofcom deals with complaints about them.

It's now practically perceived wisdom that the BBC are bias, Ofcom can't afford to just brush such accusations off now or their own bias might come under scrutiny. (Which it should do).

We can live in hope. 🤞
