FA Ban on ineligible trans players not being enforced?

According to the Telegraph

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2025/11/13/transgender-footballer-flouts-fa-ban-playing-female-side/

Don't know why it's currently in italics.

The Whippets do not have the right to disregard the consent of their opponents and to flout FA rules.

As the article says the FA was quick enough to punish women and girls, they shouldn't be dragging their feet over this.

Or will it take 70 years?

Transgender footballer flouts FA ban by playing for female side

From the Whippets’ statement:

” Additionally, our league includes many women who present in a wide range of ways – including masc-presenting cis women – who may now face suspicion, questioning, or exclusion based solely on appearance. This risks introducing discrimination, humiliation, and confusion at a local level, and places undue responsibility on volunteers, referees, and organisers to enforce a vague and invasive policy.”

Well, in my experience, that only happens when you allow men into spaces where they shouldn't be. If everyone obeyed the rules, then nobody would have to question anybody. Unfortunately Whippets didn’t do that, so that’s on them.

The Telegraph referred to the male player as "her," have they dropped the ball on this? The Whippets have had their results for the season expunged, that is a good thing; they flouted the rules and cheated blatantly.

I very much doubt that any butch player will face exclusion, that's simply catastrophising in an attempt to gain sympathy.

Fuck 'em.

So some male athletes cannot respect the regulations. And cannot respect the needs of female people.

what a surprise!

As Sue Wong makes the point, that poor teenage girl faced a six match ban simply for questioning male participation. I await the punishment in this case with interest…

The FA banned women from playing for 50 years, they didn't seem to have any problems then.

The Telegraph is all over the place with pronouns. You might almost say on a spectrum. However, they have been reporting stories that the Guardian and the BBC either haven't touched, spun so fast they're blurred or buried in the boondocks.

I think they're signed up to the IPSO(?) regs. Which, iirc, mandate pronouns?

Get a DNA cheek swab if there is doubt. This should be a matter of invalidating any insurance: If an organisation has obtained any cover for injury to one female, caused by another, the premium will be reasonable to reflect the risk. However, if a male crashed into a woman, the injuries would be more serious than the insurer had undertaken to cover.
