Judging from some of her twitter posts, Webberley sounds quite unwell.

Agree she won’t show but I’m getting my popcorn on order just in case as there will be high demand.

Most definitely has the air of someone wilfully suppressing what she knows to be the truth, in order to maintain congruence with a faith on which she has built a life and career - but which sounds utterly batshit and deluded.

I don't see how you can rationally debate using facts, data and logic when your opponent operates in an alternative realm of emotional manipulation and magical thinking. Does Webberley even acknowledge the difference between gender and sex and use the terms consistently?

I expect HW will turn up as she did a truly gobsmacking interview with Andrew Neil on his times radio show, face to face in the studio, a while back. She seemed to have no idea how badly she came across and AN was typically incisive and absolutely splendid. High hopes for this. Very intrigued that Jo Coburn is chairing it, she’s been quite unleashed since leaving the BBC.

Webberly’s contradictions are embarrassing. She claims puberty blockers give children ‘time to think’ but then also states that ‘trans children’ should be on cross sex hormones in time to go through puberty alongside their peers. So for example you could block puberty at ten years old but you’d really need them on cross sex hormones by the time they’re twelve so that they are going through puberty at the same time as their peers. That’s not much ‘time to think’ is it? I’m shocked- I knew she was in favour of puberty blockers but to also be in favour of giving cross sex hormones at such a young age is horrifying.

If they take PBs followed by cross-sex hormones they don't go through puberty. They will gain some crude secondary sexual characteristics of the opposite sex (e.g. wispy beards or manboobs) but will never be able to have children or an orgasm.

It is truly chilling to listen to HW. Her defence of WPATH and gender medicine more generally is full of lies and contradictions. But the damage being done to children and young adults is building into the biggest medical scandal ever seen in my view.

Sorry @PrettyDamnCosmic, yes you’re right and I did know that (because of course a girl cannot go through male puberty and vice versa, regardless of the drug regime they’re on). I was just paraphrasing Webberly there.

I've never heard her speak till I played that clip. She sounds like she's reading a bloody children's story! "Come here boys and girls, sit down quietly in a circle and I'll tell you how you're really girls and boys..."

Webberley has appeared on Piers Morgan’s show on a number of occasions so I think chances of her appearing on the Times Radio debate are good.

Whether she makes any feckin’ sense or not is a separate question 🤷‍♀️

So even if she talks absolute batshit rubbish, it will raise her profile and she’ll probably get a few more enquiries from people who don’t want to be sensibly protected by the UK rules
