Peter Cheese, CEO of the CIPD (HR professional body) to Retire

The CIPD is the professional organisation for HR professionals and is often the first stop they look at for guidance on employment and diversity laws.

Given that he has been the big cheese for the last 14 years and has overseen the dissemination of consistently inaccurate advice on the law around how to manage the trans issue in the workplace, contributing hugely to the shitshow many of us have lived through, this must be good news!!

It will be very interesting to see who they replace him with.

About time, in my view. He's been a pretty dire Chief Exec - more interested in feelings than making sure HR professionals are kept up to date with information and training about their legal duties and responsibilities.
