The union, which reps staffers, says the move was "clearly designed" to blunt the journalism of the brand, which has leaned in to progressive politics.

Talk about mixing up cause and effect!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 04/11/2025 12:19

Hahaha “journalism”

ThatZanyFatball · 04/11/2025 12:25

Lol, that statement from the Union almost comes across as some woke satire that would be posted on The Onion. Talk about captured.

Misla · 04/11/2025 12:59

They were firmly, agit prop levels of, TWAW. The whole Glamour mag debacle last week reminded me of Teen Vogue.

How odd that it turned out there was no money in it! Sad times.

ArabellaSaurus · 04/11/2025 13:06

Ha.

ArabellaSaurus · 04/11/2025 13:07

Alas, who will teach girls how to allow themselves to be used by men, now?

JacknDiane · 04/11/2025 13:09

What on earth is BIPOC?

Snorlaxo · 04/11/2025 13:11

Do teens even read magazines?

JacknDiane · 04/11/2025 13:09

Black, Indigenous and People Of Colour

It's hilarious:

Condé leadership owes us answers – and Teen Vogue’s readership. We will get those answers.

Ha ha. And the answer is - there's no money in it any more. The grift is over.

Nearly all of these staffers identify as LGBTQ

Aaaaand there we have it...

Oh well. Moving on...

Chersfrozenface · 04/11/2025 13:31

This grift is over, it is done,
It's time to find another one.

Black, Indigenous and People Of Colour

i.e. people who are defined by their not being white.

Datun · 04/11/2025 15:40

Hopefully the end of their anal sex for teenager stories.

Stories, diagrams (anatomically incorrect), and recommendations to girls to use more lube if they are in pain.

All suggestions to their young readers, where sex of any description is completely illegal for the majority.

never mind folding, they should be bloody prosecuted.

heathspeedwell · 04/11/2025 17:20

Fantastic news.

I don’t think so. I would be very interested to see a breakdown of the demographics of their readership.

I don’t know if this is correct

Teen Vogue lay off 75% of staff as it is folded into Vogue.

If all the staffers are LGBTQ it’s not very diverse is it?

But seriously guys, Conde Nast is a business, if you had the claimed “massive readership” and a business model (ads?) they wouldn’t be shutting you down.

Doesn’t really tell us how many actual teens are buying it. Gen z and millennials is a very wide age bracket. I wonder if that was deliberate?

Interesting that 30% are over 40. I can’t imagine the magazines I read as a teen would have appealed to over 40s. Seems like “Teen” vogue is a bit of a misnomer.

Hmm Grok says this. Very few actual teenagers read it it seems.

Are they the magazine that promoted anal sex for teen girls and forgot to include the clitoris in their diagram of female and male sexual organs?

Bisexual penguins of Cornwall.

Datun · 04/11/2025 22:59

So who reads it then? Adult men?

Wasn't it being edited by two gay guys?

ArabellaSaurus · 04/11/2025 23:04

First Glamour, now this. Not a good week.for Conde Nast.
