Trans activists vandalise EHRC as they want Labour to reject Supreme Court ruling guidelines re sex = biology

A protest group has vandalised the headquarters of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) in response to the human rights watchdog’s controversial interim guidance on single-sex spaces. ‘We will not stop until we are free’

A spokesperson for BASH BACK said: “Under the leadership of ‘Baroness’ Falkner, the EHRC has transformed itself into a hate group that wants to shred our rights and liberties.

“We will not accept that. Despite intense legal and political pressure they still intend to push their guidance – segregating trans people out of all single-sex spaces – to government, in a cynical attempt to erase us from public life.

“In 2022, the EHRC endorsed conversion therapy and opposed reform to the Gender Recognition Act, and ‘Baroness’ Falkner’s overt transphobia created a hostile ‘anti-LGBT’ environment which caused many staff to leave, and yet others called ‘the enemy of human rights’.

Just such a blatant example of TRA misogyny ie blaming Baroness Falkner even though all she is doing is her job. ie interpreting how a court ruling (ie a legal requirement) is implemented which is basically her job description.

And yes, I know this has been posted on existing threads, but thought this warranted a FWR thread title to let others know, plus the fact that no main stream media thinks this is worth reporting. This might catch their eye.

Some transmen might not be able to use a single sex space in some cases - not the male.one because they're not male, and not the female one because they look too convincingly male for the comfort of other female uses.

If they really look convincingly male then nobody is going to say anything if they use male spaces - unless they draw attention to it. The truth is a lot of them don't,

I've yet to see a man complain that transmen are using their toilets, which is what transmen supposedly wish, so all fine.
And yes I'm opposed to passing transmen using female goilets, but we're talking a tiny tiny tiny minority here. And frankly it's on them.

No, it's absolutely not fine for transmen to use male toilets, changing rooms, therapy groups, etc.

The situation is not analogous to males in female spaces of course but transmen may make men feel uncomfortable for reasons of privacy and dignity even if their physical safety is not compromised.

You (or anyone) can't give consent on the behalf of all male users of those spaces.

This (toilets) is happening at my workplace and some of the men are indeed very unhappy about it.

"We will not obey their 'guidance'"

You're not expected to mate, you're a random group of vandals and are not providing services to the public. Quite the opposite.

AlexaAdventuress · 01/11/2025 09:21

Having had a look at the Pink News article, it's been quite instructive, because there are a great many other articles listed on ther sidebar chronicling the campaign against the EHRC judgement. There's a lot of people and organisations at it. Know thine enemy and all that . . .

MoltenLasagne · 01/11/2025 09:31

The only other group I can think of that has vandalised to this extent is Extinction Rebellion and they've had tonnes of prosecutions. When will the police act?

midgetastic · 01/11/2025 09:33

If they carry on like that they will learn the meaning of the word free when they actually lose thier freedom

How many incidents of criminal damage is that now? Was the Wes Streeting Chip King vandalism the first or does it go back further than that?

What are the police doing about it?

I believe a TRA group has targeted the EHRC at least once before - with bottles of piss.

Bugger all.

This 'special' group apparently is exempt from all law and order as well as supported by MPs in their attempt to destroy other people's rights.

We're actually seeing a government supported campaign against women's equality, and against women's rights in law where those rights inconvenience men who wish to use and control said women's bodies for their own agendas. Essentially to remove rights from women so that men are again the dominant, controlling class without women being allowed to resist.

In 2025.

The government .

And because the media are part of it too, and hush it all up, the rest of the UK is likely to just sleep walk into this.

I don't honestly fucking believe this country at this point, it's like a bad dream.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 01/11/2025 10:22

Oh yes, the piss protest. Suppose it's one way of establishing they "just want to pee" but this and their escalating violence does nothing to reassure girls and women that they're safe people to share changing rooms, toilets etc with.

OpheliaWitchoftheWoods · 01/11/2025 10:25

No one cares about reassuring girls or women about being safe, no one cares if they feel safe, no one cares that it's bloody obvious that the men behaving like this are thugs that no one would want to be enclosed with, never mind a woman with a man who is this unhinged and loudly hates women.

It's not about women. It's never about women. Even when they're hurt by these men nobody gives a fuck .

OpheliaWitchoftheWoods · 01/11/2025 10:26

Sorry. So angry and so mindblown at how fucking awful all our elected representatives are in all parties it's hard not to rant.

Ok, so I stand corrected and it's NOT fine. I quite agree men are also entitled to their SSS if it matters to them.

Piss protest was done twice I think

Tiredofwhataboutery · 01/11/2025 10:40

I think the powers that be care more about property damage than people. I suspect costing the public purse money in vandalism isn’t going to endear them to anyone.

This is one of the major out takes from these protests.

This violence and intimidation is absolutely contradicting the 'harmless' narrative that some extreme transgender activists have tried to curate.

I think more publicity on this group is well needed.

Operation: Let them speak.

BundleBoogie · 01/11/2025 11:21

On the plus side, they may well be leaking more EHRC staff which I believe was partially captured with some making a dedicated campaign against Baroness Falkner. They will be finding themselves with less and less internal support.

If the BBC are not reporting on this, they demonstrate what an utter disgrace they are.
