My Medium feed this morning included a piece about men lovebombing then withdrawing.
The fictional scenario/wish fulfillment wrapper I don't have much time for but it contained this zinger of a phrase that perfectly names an experience we all have of men who believe they can argue us out of our own experiences:
"under the delusion they had editorial authority over my reality"
For completeness here's the full piece - a couple of great observations and some pithy phrasing, though imo the framing story really weakens and trivialises some serious points about male treatment of women. The frst third of the article would have hit harder by itself.
