The MP said she was accused of wanting to “legalise abuse”, as well as sexual assault and “deprivation of civil liberties” for trans women.
“I have been heavily involved with a lot of the Labour Party’s work in ending violence against women and girls, it is something I take very seriously and passionately”, she told the court.
“To get this sort of thing in an email that I want to legalise it and am complicit in whatever happened to her, I found it quite distressing and offensive.”

I don't even know what to comment on this section, other than it seems to exemplify what a surreal state of affairs we are at.

Please can we stop using the term 'transwoman', like the media does. These are men, not a variety of women. They are transvestites, or autogynephiliacs, or men-who-identify-as-women, or men-with-penises-who-pretend-to-identify-as women, or a combination. A type of man, not a type of woman.

What is in place to prevent other victims of similar harassment from being dragged into a court case they know nothing about at the behest of a stalker? We don't all have the Speaker and their legal team to hand....

This sounds like a terrifying ordeal. I hope the court outcome actually stops him from harassing her, unfortunately stalkers can be very persistent.

Also unfortunate is that we are seeing more and more violent and aggressive pushback from trans rights activists as women's rights are asserted.

As someone else noted, the most dangerous time for women is leaving an abusive relationship. The government have effectively ended the relationship, and some narcissists and disordered people react aggressively.

Yes, if her 'lived experience' isn't enough to make them see how wrong this ideology is nothing will. 🤯
