Has Polanski spoken about trans issues yet?

Isitsticky · 26/10/2025 09:00

Polanski videos are all over social media but I've yet to see one where he addresses these issues. Does anyone know what he has said in the past? Will the Greens continue to expel anyone with GC views?

By going all in on biology denial he also keeps the issue alive. The TAs are MOST dangerous when they can work behind the scenes. Polanski loves arguing and that means he is no fan of No debate in public. Although he wants to close down discussion inside the Greens his willingness to argue in public interviews for extreme ideas is a gift to our side. Because he has argued on screen that rapists belong in women' jails and women don't deserve sport. He is going to be doing that while he remains leader. Every time he gets on that subject someone peaks and the wider narrative weakens.

Such a good point, and brilliantly put.

Just to add to my early point and some details which come up a lot in the Greens thread.

The Greens are currently being sued by various people for discriminating against them for knowing biology.

ZPs dramatic words on this stuff potentially could end up being used as evidence. Especially as he was involved in getting Green Women's Declaration kicked out of conference recently.

Greens finances are improving, BUT are still not great and he risks blowing it all on court cases. Another way he may end up helping the world to peak.

Shortshriftandlethal · 26/10/2025 15:58

He has come out of the blocks so strongly and defiantly that he is going to find it very difficult to step back at all from any of his pronouncements; and if he does he'll get it in the neck from the TRAS. They expect full on commitment to TWAW.

It was during his Piers Morgan interview he said that discussed here he said that trans males should be allowed to compete against women.

it does include Reddit….

I guess that if your newly elected leader attracts praise from someone called 'antifabot' then you might have taken a wrong turn somewhere.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 26/10/2025 17:00

His social media just gives off "trendy teacher trying too hard" vibes. It's all very Rik from the Young Ones

thanks for pointing out that name
I read that article fully expecting there to be a
'But...'
or at least a
'however,...'

what struck me was the harking back to Corbyn and that's no surprise I would bet that many of the new GP members are those who previously joined the Labour party under JC's influence, or perhaps they are the younger siblings of those people.
I don't understand why they haven't learned the lessons of Corbyn's leadership- his ideas went down great with the membership but not with the electorate. Yes we can find all kinds of reasons why people failed to vote for him, but those reasons will still hold true now, so....we need to work with what we've got, and the world as it is, not as we would like it to be.

FKAT · 26/10/2025 09:28

TWAW, Tax the Rich and Pallystine are all he goes on about. He wouldn't recognise a green policy if it was cycled to him in a hand-weaved locally sourced vegan basket.

Thanks for giving me a laugh in a dismal moment.

I've been involved in environmental groups for decades, and joined the Green Party when climate change started to become a popular concern. It seemed there was at last a real chance of gaining enough votes to influence government and make a useful difference.

Now the once-Green Party is a laughing stock among anyone who knows anything about it. The environment is way down its list of concerns, as FKAT notes. It attacks dedicated members who want a return to Green policies and squanders huge sums of money on court cases against long-standing activists who refuse to toe the transgenderist line:
The Green Party has spent £1m over four years fighting legal battles against its own members, as divisions over gender continue to threaten the party’s finances

Bwahahahaha, oh my days, that is fucking priceless!

Satire's not dead after all.

'With open arms, he declared:
Hope is not about a charismatic leader on a stage, hope is about a movement.
At that point, I felt a prickle of hope in the pit of my stomach.'

ArabellaSaurus · 26/10/2025 17:55

' Not since Jeremy Corbyn had I felt this prickle'

😂

ArabellaSaurus · 26/10/2025 18:02

He's just a little prickle.

But it gets worse:

'Honestly, I could have cried.

Who was this man standing before us, smiling at the crowd and speaking the most sense I’d heard since the Corbyn years?

Going on to announce a wealth tax, a policy supported by 75% of the population, was met with ear-shattering applause, as he unapologetically and confidently smashed an issue that every single other leader didn’t have the balls to address. With that winning smile, he promised the revenue it would raise would balance the country’s battered books and would fund the essential services austerity had destroyed.

A £15 minimum wage was also met with rippling excitement from the crowd, a momentum I didn’t think could be beaten until the mention of a MAXIMUM WAGE left Polanski’s lips. Ensuring the crowd that bosses would “no longer be able to take the piss,” the people in the room met this with cacophonous cheers, the promise to shatter the current status quo giving us all the hope we have been missing for so long.'

😶

Ereshkigalangcleg · 26/10/2025 18:05

I had to briefly deactivate my vpn to read that, it was so worth it 😂

WarriorN · 26/10/2025 19:54

The little prickle has been hypnotised into a big prick

EdithStourton · 26/10/2025 20:08

Bloody hell:
'Polanski himself is proudly gay and Jewish, clearly showing that the Green Party would stand for all minoritised people, and he highlighted this by talking about the plight of the trans community and the relentless attacks they are facing as the media tries to mask the real issues society faces.'
Ignoring the plight of the British Jewish community, two of members of which were killed in a terror attack on Yom Kippur...less than four weeks ago.

Someone needs to go and think about his priorities.

But that was satire, right? Or is the world even madder than I worry it might be?

ArabellaSaurus · 26/10/2025 20:22

I dont think its satire, Edith. I'd be hugely relieved if it were

SidewaysOtter · 26/10/2025 20:24

I think hes recognised a voting block and is appealing to them.

Yes, the Omnicausers, although the Green Party’s lack of interest in environmental issues these days is…surprising.

Polanski’s just another irritating Woke Bro type. The misogyny is always strong with that sort (even though they would proudly tout their “feminist” credentials).

AzurePanda · 26/10/2025 20:49

Having heard that Polanski was charismatic and generally causing a stir, I was completely gobsmacked when I heard him interviewed. What a clown.

the media are desperate to build up ZP up as the lefts Farage in terms of someone who'll turn up on anything and shoot his mouth off. They don't much care what he says as long as it's something they can make headlines and soundbites out of

it's no wonder we have the politicians we have with a media like ours.

RogueFemale · 26/10/2025 21:20

I voted for a Green councillor a couple years ago, she got in. This was before I grew to understand the nature of TRA etc. Anyway, I recently wrote to her saying I wouldn't and couldn't vote for her again, given the Green's anti-women's rights stance. No reply. It's pathetic.

LondonPapa · 26/10/2025 21:25

I’m confused. Has Roman Polanski come out to talk about trans rights now? Pretty sure he’s a rapist - why would we listen to him on trans issues? 😅

It would seem he’s quite able to beclown himself without the media prompting him.

That prose felt a bit more purple than green I thought.
Then my train of thought went, 'purple & green, very 80's', I think that was the last time they put environmental issues first, now they've dropped the environ bit.

moto748e · 26/10/2025 21:41

Surely, he only has to be asked the question on TV, "Mr Polanski, is it still your position that people who say transwomen are not women should be thrown out of your party?"

GreenUp · 27/10/2025 02:20

Polanski seems like a misogynist.

Cathy Newman tried to question him about excluding Green Women's Declaration members from the Green Party conference and he seemed to get a bit annoyed when responding.

Here's a clip of him asking a drag queen to respond to gender critical womens' criticism of drag and finishing the conversation with a comment about how he doesn't want to "amplify these [GC] narratives".

He's not interested in womens' views unless they prioritise men.

Tia Kofi to Zack Polanski, "There are better ways for everything to be better for everyone, rather than just sort of your little bubble"

https://x.com/implausibleblog/status/1981839211771961390?s=19&t=tWVhf01iiDjZlgn-z0OJ2g

ArabellaSaurus · 27/10/2025 06:49

That's an astonishing clip.

  1. Drag is inherently political. This is an interesting point that should be taken to the BBC.
  2. They are aware of the 'womanface' complaints from women, but don't see it like that. No shit.
  3. Zak was wary of 'amplifying' gc women's voices, but is reassured when his male pal cracks a joke about women being reduced to 'a smoky eye', assuring him that because this man performs aspects of femininity, Zak can safely discount women's input.
