Has Polanski spoken about trans issues yet?

Isitsticky · 26/10/2025 09:00

Polanski videos are all over social media but I've yet to see one where he addresses these issues. Does anyone know what he has said in the past? Will the Greens continue to expel anyone with GC views?

Hes the lefts version of Farage.

Greens have to push green issues to the background because the conservatives and labour have already demonstrated how bonkers issues like net zero are.

He’s very clearly said yes a woman can have a penis, but they’ll be waiting a long time on the NHS to get it removed (quote)
Its frustrating but this isn’t the only issue for me and I’m willing to deal with this aspect and vote for him based on other policies

How will you deal with it?

What other policies do you think he’ll be any good on, @BuffaloCauliflower? Not having a go, genuinely interested.

timesublimelysilencesthewhys · 26/10/2025 11:31

He changed his name to reflect his jewish ancestry. I dont think hes antisemitic.

I think hes recognised a voting block and is appealing to them. Its a group that are TRA, or not too bothered about the consequences of TRA. Their economic focus is their ability to afford to buy a house, but no other. They are vaguely green but again, have no interest about how it links to economics.

moto748e · 26/10/2025 11:32

The Indy is championing him, so that tells you everything you need to know.

Deanefan · 26/10/2025 11:38

Given his conviction/delusion that TWAW and presumably also that TMAM, could he deploy his hypnosis talents to increase the post op size of metoidoplasties? Surely he should use his abilities for good to improve the aesthetic results of gender affirming bottom surgeries 🤔

moto748e · 26/10/2025 11:40

Gruesome.

This thread has been following the Greens since Polanski started his leadership bid. We have ALL the receipts there and it shows Polanski's denial of reality and sexism clearly and the wider issues in the English and Welsh Greens. The main thing that can be said for him is he sometimes goes off script and contradicts some TA talking points.

https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/5328986-greens-internal-drama-warms-up

Yet I also think he is developing into a useful agent for Operation Let Them Speak.

By going all in on biology denial he also keeps the issue alive. The TAs are MOST dangerous when they can work behind the scenes. Polanski loves arguing and that means he is no fan of No debate in public. Although he wants to close down discussion inside the Greens his willingness to argue in public interviews for extreme ideas is a gift to our side. Because he has argued on screen that rapists belong in women' jails and women don't deserve sport. He is going to be doing that while he remains leader. Every time he gets on that subject someone peaks and the wider narrative weakens.

Especially as the deeper issue inside the Greens is the deputy leader Ali Mothin clearly doesn't believe in trans stuff. He is just cleverly avoiding saying it.

Such a good point, and brilliantly put.

100%.

Horrible man, and a gift to feminists.

Plus, an ego and mouth large enough to keep putting his foot in it.

According to Scenemag, he apparently has said single sex spaces are 'horrific'.

His male privilege is screaming. But that’s ok it seems!

He’s basically PT Barnum.

This. Big mouth, no trousers as the saying goes.

Shortshriftandlethal · 26/10/2025 14:17

Need to keep driving that wedge between Polanski and his deputy, Mothin Ali.
His TWAW position will eventually become a wound that won't ever fully heal.

Isitsticky · 26/10/2025 14:33

Does anyone have a link to his stance on women's sport? I can't find anything.

OP posts:
WarriorN · 26/10/2025 15:09

He’s already said on some media show that women can have penises.

I asked chat gtp (VERY useful for searching politician views) and got this:

What he has said

  • Polanski has made clear that trans rights are non-negotiable under his leadership of the Green Party of England and Wales, saying that “transphobia will absolutely not be tolerated”.
  • He defended the position that a woman can have a penis when asked a provocative question by Piers Morgan: “Yes … a woman can have a penis” in the context of a “transitioning” woman.
  • He has emphasised that the Green Party’s policy is inclusive of trans people and that his campaign was “pro-trans”.
WarriorN · 26/10/2025 15:11

It’s had links, mostly pink news

WarriorN · 26/10/2025 15:12

More detail:

  1. In a September 2025 interview, Polanski said:
  2. “Transphobia will absolutely not be tolerated under my leadership, and it will never be acceptable in the Green Party.”
  3. He emphasises that the party stands in “unconditional solidarity” with trans people, and that “trans women and women, trans men and men and non-binary identities … are perfectly valid.”
  4. In an October 2025 appearance on Piers Morgan’s show, Polanski was asked: “Can a woman have a penis?” He answered:
  5. “Yes.”
  6. Then went on to say: “If a woman is transitioning, then they can have a penis.”
  7. He also said: “Let’s have a conversation about women’s rights but let’s not talk about trans women specifically.”
  8. In a March 2023 interview with the publication Left Foot Forward, he stated:
  9. “We’re a democratic organisation … to those people who are repeatedly putting hurtful things on the agenda … transphobia is not tolerated in the party … if you want to misgender someone then that is transphobic and transphobia is not welcome in the Green Party.”

Yes, I’m not sure he’s giving much thought to fairness or safety in women’s sports.

Wow, thanks. Disappointing but not surprising. Will do a few more targeted searches. He will not be getting my vote.

He's also an arsehole in lots of other ways...

It was during his Piers Morgan interview he said that discussed here he said that trans males should be allowed to compete against women.
