Return of Lin Yu-ting, who was shown to have male chromosomes, to women’s competition is the result of Olympic chiefs’ dereliction of duty

Sadly, I think you are right.
It is so wrong, and so dangerous, it's not like a sprint. It genuinely worries me 🙏

A women’s death? Don’t be silly, that wouldn’t be enough. And would probably be her fault anyway….

Oliver Brown is a fierce advocate for women's sport. Unusually the DT have closed the comments - normally they let readers speak freely.

World Boxing now have compulsory sex testing for women's boxing, and the IOC looks like it's going down the same route.

I don't think we'll see the likes of Lin and Khelif on the international amateur stage again.

The Telegraph report is about a match that took place in Taiwan, which clearly has no national eligibility requirements for women's boxing - as is the case with Algeria, the national prestige of winning an Olympic Gold is obviously more important than anything else.

The tide has turned in favour of 'protecting the female category' in the regulatory bodies such as World Boxing and the IOC, and that means compulsory sex testing to exclude not just transwomen, but also males with DSDs.

Gosh if only Taiwan was part of a larger country that didn’t believe in gender ideology and which would shut this down in five seconds if they had authority and were backed internationally in being able to control their territory… what a shame useful idiots abroad and clueless foreign politicians have been pressuring China to be so hands off with Taiwan all because the current situation gives the US a naval tactical advantage over China. But who cares about a bunch of women getting hurt if it makes The Cause look bad, right?
