Some men will do anything to win. Win at any cost.

I’m gc and support men’s and women’s leagues in sport, but video games?? I’m not so sure the difference in male anatomy etc play such an important role there and can see an argument for mixed leagues.

But as there are categories for men and women then that means that both can win the competition and money. But now, both have been won by men and so no money or prize for a woman.

There often isn't a male category in sports and games - it is an open category, but usually male only because of male advantage (for whatever reason). Occasionally a woman breaks through in the likes of darts - not athletics - but it's unusual.

So the women's category is a category like juniors, seniors, para, which you have to meet certain criteria to qualify for. This is why there is a swab test for the women's and not for the men's.

It is perfectly reasonable to have criteria for this group.

It is not the same as the criteria for a men's group, because men tend to have their own groups in sport through natural selection, not qualifying criteria.

This is fine as far as it goes.

But it does rather mean that we also have to accept that men might want men only groups, clubs, competitions, for no other reason than they'd prefer them.

Some wouldn't accept that.

Could you not have a men only group to encourage men into a female dominated hobby? Men’s knitting or something? If you were a knitting company and wanted to encourage more people to knit, and sell more wool and needles and patterns, but men felt uncomfortable at women dominated knitting groups… would that be proportionate?

Of course, the women at the knitting groups would have to be targeting the men, cutting their wool, bullying them and making comments about what they would be like in bed… which seems highly unlikely.

it'a the same argument as women's chess. Intimidation, access, culture etc etc Oh sexual assault.
