Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

It finally happened. Male children object to female child in their changing room. Face stiff consequences for objecting.

It's been mentioned in speculation here, but this is a concrete example of it happening.

I know it's kids, and kids are different from adults. But I have this feeling that in this topsy turvy world we all now live in that the girl is probably safer in the boy's changing room than she would be in the girl's.
All predatory males want to be in the female's changing spaces. Are the male changing spaces now safer for females than the female changing spaces?

Article on the case for those like me who can't do video:

Virginia is pretty Democrat but it's in Federal Court. The school has found them guilty of sex based harassment under title IX, which I believe Trump has said must be based on bio-sex. So will be interesting to see what the courts come up with. Also good to see that crowd funding such cases is working in the US too. That's been a huge boon for the UK cases, I think. Helps show the people involved and the news media that there is plenty of public support for people standing up against this madness.

So trans girl as in a girl who identifies as a boy in this case? Fair play to the boys, they're allowed their privacy and dignity too.

I didn't like the quote in the Independent from the dad: He also said that the two boys “were never explained or taught by any administration how to gender or call this student. So to all their knowledge this seemed to be a female student in their locker room.”

There bloody was a female student in their locker room. And there was still a girl however much school attempt to gaslight them. Unless the dad thinks it was actually a male student dressed as a girl and they were mistaken?

TeiTetua · 17/10/2025 17:23

Interesting that according to the standards of the mad mad world, the website has the headline wrong: "Boys SUSPENDED After Complaining About Trans Girl".

If you go by the mad standard, a "trans girl" is a boy who thinks he's a girl, and people use that term to show how they think (or wish to look as though they think) he's already a girl, just a "trans" one instead of a "cis" one. But here a "trans girl" is apparently still a girl. In the sane world, the boys are being quite reasonable, and objecting to her presence in their changing room.

Honestly the real world consequences children face for recognising sex, which is an important foundation for proper safeguarding. Affecting college applications, going on their record?

They might as well stamp HERESY - RECOGNISES REALITY (does not lie when requested to by right thinkers) on their applications. Let's hope for some colleges this willingness to recognise reality might be a bonus.

I'm not that surprised it's boys challenging this. They have an equal right to privacy and dignity as girls but girls that speak up against male bodies also have the fear of being assaulted by those with 160% the punch power. So it's not surprising they rarely do.

The language used here is really confusing too. TRA language is designed to confuse IMO. Would be nice to get back to accurate language: male sex but feminine gender identity and female sex but masculine gender identity would do it. And would help avoid the coercive control and emotional abuse of children who are simply saying what they see.

This btl comment is wild:

Re: He also said that the two boys “were never explained or taught by any administration how to gender or call this student. So to all their knowledge this seemed to be a female student in their locker room.”

So all this could have been avoided if children had been better educated about these things when they were younger. I concur...
...however, given the furore that is often generated by the detractors, I do wonder how many of the parents and their backers would have supported that - probably very few.
And that's the bind that we have allowed them to create, deny children the education they need, keep them in the dark, then go berserk when things go wrong.
We need to do better- a lot better- than this

So the problem was insufficient prior indoctrination 🤔

My DS has a girl at school who decided in Y9 she was actually a boy and was allowed to use the boys facilities.

My DS and others always found it very uncomfortable but were just told to ‘be kind’

He’s 21 now so this was only about 7 years ago.

lifeturnsonadime · 17/10/2025 17:46

Inevitable consequences of a ridiculous ideology.

Hope these boys succeed in court.

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 17/10/2025 19:59

I'm glad to see boys speaking out as well, single sex spaces apply to them as well, they deserve their space they need privacy for they're dignity too. I hope they win.

SinnerBoy · 17/10/2025 20:31

Jesus, what a terrible piece of videography! Surely these boys must win at appeal? The judge seems to have made her mind up already.

125 grand by the end of the same day? That's insane.

TempestTost · 17/10/2025 20:40

This seems very confusing. Is it clear it's a female girl presenting as a male?

Though even if it's the other way I would not be shocked if the boys were uncomfortable, it's all kind of a shit-show.

lcakethereforeIam · 17/10/2025 22:57

Wasn't Loundon County where a girl was sexually assaulted in the girls toilets by a young TiM. I'm not sure if she was his first victim or the one he assaulted after he was moved to her school after a similar incident at his previous school.

This was a while ago. I believe one of the girl's fathers was involved in an incident at the school board meeting. He complained, understandably, and wound up beaten on the floor. I'm sure legal action was threatened but I don't know what happened since.

It was.

Ignoring how irritating I found that presenting style (far too many teasers about what we're about to see), there are some great points captured here. For me, the final two bullet points below are the most pertinent:

  • it's allegedly harassment for boys to state facts e.g. "there is a girl in the [changing room]"
  • it's apparently not harassment for a female to film boys in the boys' changing room
  • it's irrelevant whether a female who identifies as a boy is referred to as a "transgirl" or a "transboy". Nobody needs to waste time trying to understand it because the facts are simple: there was a girl in the boys' changing room... but it was the boys who got in trouble for it. It's got echoes of the Sandie Peggie case.
  • procedural blockers have allegedly been put in place to stop the boys' parents bringing the case to justice - the most ridiculous one being the demand that they find $125k up front in 3 days in the event that they lose and need to pay the other side's lawyers (even the though the other side's costs are already covered by insurance)
  • a public appeal raised $125k in 3 days to reach the (seemingly unfair) requirement that the judge made for the boys' parents to proceed with the case

It's fantastic that enough people - or maybe one generous person - feel strongly enough that this case is worth fighting. I hope it gets decent press coverage in the US as it progresses, like the Peggie case is doing here.

Nobody should ever be forced to act as if they believe that someone is the opposite sex, nor punished for stating objective facts about the person's actual sex (even if the person in question holds a deeply held belief that they are the opposite sex/"gender"). Yes, if they're repeatedly in someone's face, telling them facts that contrast with their belief, fine. For example, if they were repeatedly said "you're a girl" directly it would be like an atheist repeatedly saying "virgins can't give birth" to a Christian - that's unnecessary harassment. But to simply state a fact is not.

Igmum · 18/10/2025 12:00

Yes. He’d assaulted someone in a previous school and went on to assault someone in the next school but the board stood firm on his rights to assault and considered the father the bigot

@lechiffre55 All predatory males want to be in the female's changing spaces.

Apart from... you know... the predators that attack boys... did you forget that they exist...?

Are the male changing spaces now safer for females than the female changing spaces?

So female changing areas are not safe because nowadays, there might be a biological male in the area.

So you think they would be safer in the male changing area... where everyone is a biological male... ... ...?

I suppose it’s an extension of the good males stay out so the bad ones stand out. If all the Pervy blokes are in the ladies then the ones who are in the gents are the non rapey ones.

It is absolutely bonkers both sexes should be entitled to single sec spaces and a unisex provision/ private changing area available for someone who does not want to use changing room for biological sex.

shuggles · 19/10/2025 23:11

@Tiredofwhataboutery If all the Pervy blokes are in the ladies then the ones who are in the gents are the non rapey ones.

So as I was suggesting in my previous comment, gay men exist.

There are plenty of perverted men in the men's changing rooms. They generally walk around completely naked for no apparent reason. Plenty of predators too; obviously, no parent with a functioning brain would ever let their son go into the men's changing rooms alone. That would be insane.

I think she’s still struggling to get justice. I really feel for this young woman and the girl she was. It sort of reminds me of the Rotherham abuses where you have these young girls who were asking for help who were essentially labelled as “problematic” and “consenting” to rough anal sex despite the fact that they are young children.
