Leading article in The Times: The Law is the Law: Ministers must not obscure or delay legal guidance about protecting sex-based rights.

There's also an article on page 2 by Geraldine Scott, Assistant Political Editor:

Phillipson delays trans decision 'to help deputy leadership bid'

Don't know how to add a share token. Sorry.

I had to work it out when I first had a Times subscription. It's actually very straightforward. Go to the Share symbol at the top left of the article and click on Email. At the bottom of the message you'll see the link to the article which includes a share token. Just copy and paste. I used to use it to share on Twitter too, rather than using the names link.

I am really sick of politicians claiming this issue isn’t that big a deal and then simultaneously weaponising it, to the detriment of women and girls. Didn’t the Tories do the same – Kemi was due to change the law to say sex meant legal sex and was scuppered by Rishi Sunak calling an early election? (Sorry, my memory of this is hazy but I do remember a thread along these lines). Just get this sorted – it really shouldn’t be this hard.

I can only get the share token to work on my mobile phone, not on my desktop. Does yours work on your desktop/laptop too?

@RoyalCorgi I only ever use my laptop to do this and it always works for me. I use my tablet for some browsing and my phone to take photos, as my sight is too poor to use much it for reading text. My browser is Chrome, though I wouldn't have thought this makes a difference.

Thank you so much for this. I've saved your post.
