I’ve binged the series and I am amazed that the pro trans groups have not started rioting!

The cross dressing/wanting to be a girl element of extremely violent serial killers depravity was shown multiple times.

Oh interesting. I've seen headlines criticising the show and some noise on twitter about people complaining about Netflix but didn't look any further. Is this what they were complaining about?
That would be interesting. I detest these true crime depictions of serial killer that seem to be popping up all the time recently. They always feel really lurid, treating real people's horrible deaths as entertainment. Be fairly typical of the TRA lobby to protest against a factual depiction of the killer and not because they sympathise with his victims.

You mean all those “thrillers” where the victims are always women and or children, or occasionally a famous male writer or film star, soooooooo predictable.
