I had an email from LAVA
"Yes…, we were Wheesht! (To quote our Glaswegian sisters).
As we enter the final days of the case, the Human Rights Tribunal has issued a strict order prohibiting us from posting anything about the case—publicly or privately—until all final submissions are made in November.
Every day in court, we hear how hateful and abusive we are, and LAVA incredulously but respectfully listens. Until last week when someone on our side tweeted part of a witness’s testimony with the comment, “Kate Sheppard would roll in her grave.” That is all it took for us to be accused of witness intimidation by Pride’s lawyer. A Court accredited news reporter could have done the same thing and faced no repercussions.
It is exhausting. Those who have been through this process know how emotionally draining it is. We have leaned on our supporters to keep us going—with your donations, encouragement and your reminders that we are not alone in standing for the truth: that humans cannot change sex, and there are only two sexes.
Regardless, we will once again adjust our sails in the face of this new wind and continue our fight for the right of women to remain adult human females.
We are in court on Monday, Tuesday and possibly Wednesday 6-8th October. On November 4th and 5th, the Counsels for each side make their final submissions.
