Women's retreat Greece

A group of women in Brighton (including some long-term Mumsnetters) have set up a new community interest company 'Sisters Heal' offering therapeutic retreats and courses for women.

It's a not-for-profit and we're currently being run by a group of volunteers. We will be officially launching at FiLiA on 10th October.

I am one of the organisers and I know lots of posters on here have been very supportive of women needing single sex therapy and peer support, particularly in light of the Sarah Summers legal case.

Sisters Heal has received an initial donation which will allow us to run a part-funded 4 day retreat in Greece in April next year for a group of 8 women. I wanted to post the details on here for anyone who is interested or who knows a woman who needs an affordable, therapeutic break.

Bookings will open on Friday 10th October but you can register interest here sistersheal.co.uk/syros-retreat/

It goes without saying but the retreat will be single sex, survivor-led and trauma-informed.

This sounds fantastic! Hope to see you at FiLiA.

How fantastic!!! Well done those women for setting this up in the current climate. I hope you don’t get any bother from the usual suspects

TheRozzers · 01/10/2025 13:37

Is this just for sexual abuse victims or can other women apply? Website isn’t clear

Thank you for the supportive words. We are working with some incredible therapists and the wellness and creative activities promise to be really lovely.

We have a stall at FiLiA so please stop by and say hello.

No the Greece retreat isn't just for survivors but it's survivor-led and designed with survivors in mind. Any woman can join us if she feels there's something in her past that needs looking at or if she simply needs a break. So many women are mothers / carers they don't have time and space for themselves.

This retreat was amazing - can’t praise Sistersheal highly enough! If you want a fantastic retreat in Syros with a group of fabulous women this is the best place ever! Next one is in September I think.

Hermiaxx · 23/04/2026 08:36

I need to find out the details of the next retreat - I still feel so good (apart from missing being there)!

sistersheal · 23/04/2026 09:21

Aww thank you @Hermiaxx! We loved having you. Such a wonderful group of women - we were very lucky. I know that lifelong friendships have been made 💜

Mumsnet came up a lot in conversation. Most of the women who came had heard about us from Mumsnet. The kind of women who appreciate a single sex retreat that’s strictly women only and designed to support and look after women who need a therapeutic break. Likeminded souls who enjoy good food, beautiful views, gentle yoga, shiatsu massage, swimming, art therapy and relaxation. Turns out there’s a lot of you on here. Who could have guessed?!

Next one in September and we have 4 spaces left https://sistersheal.co.uk/syros-retreat/

Any questions feel free to WhatsApp the number on that page 😊

Or in fact any questions you can ask on here. I can’t face unpacking the suitcases just yet 😊

Glad to see this thread resurrected. I’m another one who found out about @sistersheal from Mumsnet and attended the retreat in Greece. I’m trying to figure out who @Hermiaxxis. Were you our resident Ninja??? 🥷

I was a bit nervous about it but it was great, I can’t recommend it enough and met some fantastic women. Rosie and Hannah who run it are really friendly and approachable and the therapists were amazing. Great food, stunning location, terfy clientele 😉

SH were in the news recently for getting their trauma informed yoga classes cancelled by trans activists so give them some support if you can. They’re working so hard to run women’s spaces and support groups.

They’ve put a few pics from Greece on their Instagram https://www.instagram.com/sisters_heal?igsh=ODA5Y2t2dmxhNXR1&utm_source=qr

@TheRozzersit was such a fabulous experience - I can’t believe how restorative it was! I woke up feeling so happy I went (though sad I wasn’t still there!)

oh and yes I am the resident ninja! 😉
