Former police superintendent Catherine Larkman on how a TRA has targeted her using Non Crime Hate Incidents. How have we got to the point where police force are supporting this?

Apart from the trans debate, I think it should be extremely concerning how easily a small, not especially sympathetic, or competent group of individuals managed to easily subvert the criminal justice system to terrorize so may of their political enemies. The theoretical potential for abuse of hate crime law has been pointed out since it passed and the instances of abuse in practice have been piling up and increasing in severity.

I've never seen the point of adding "hate" to any crime - or in this case incident. A crime is a crime whatever the reason it was carried out.
This sounds like the bloke who's targeted Helen Joyce and another male policeman. He was dismissed from the force for gross misconduct but has managed to wrap the police service round his little finger.
