It's a pretty eye-opening thread. She's been harassed, threatened with violence, had her children threatened - by the same people who have now got Graham Linehan in court.

But have the police done anything to stop SEVEN years of stalking, harassment, and violent threats ?

Do I really need to answer that ...?

(I have no compunction about reading publications that mostly don’t align with my views. Many years ago I read a letter in my father’s copy of the Telegraph that said the writer read the paper because he had been told by his university tutor to never exclusively read newspapers that didn’t challenge his beliefs. This is absolutely shocking behaviour by the Police, how on Earth could they ignore all those years worth of threats and harassment? They seem to be utterly unfit for purpose.

Whoever ignored it needs to be sacked and hopefully, prosecuted for misfeasance in a public office. They've absolutely facilitated this behaviour.

It undermines trust in institutions if they are/appear unfair towards any interest group, whether it's GC voices, white working class girls, or Palestine Action. Then every interest group thinks they are being unfairly treated, whether it's Tommy Robinson types vs 'the elite', or TRAs thinking the Supreme Court are transphobes. It corrodes people's perception of reality, not helped by media stirring.

KJK has had 7 years of harassment, and threats of violence which, after events in New Zealand, should be treated as credible threats.

I am required to undertake annual training under the Prevent legislation. I’m also required to shop my students if I think they’re succumbing to terrorist behaviour.

So why are those who are making threats towards KJK and her children not being hauled off planes and handcuffed out of their —mother’s— house —basement— ?

Thank you, @ParmaVioletTea . I think in the wake of the Charlie Kirk murder, people are very twitchy and reading the worst interpretation. I’ve been read as supporting the thing I’m criticising several times in the last day or two.

Either that or there are some people angling for a fight, any fight will do 🫣

I think I understand your point but we do need to be able to call out the level of injustice experienced by Kellie-Jay.

The police, politicians and people speaking against women’s rights are all letting us down here. I’m not sure how we fix it.

It's the institutions at fault, not the women.
