Sex Matters' newsletter mentions that the Equality Commission for NI are running a consultation due to close on the 19th September.
ECNI states:
"We have been progressing our six-step roadmap, which seeks to provide greater legal clarity on the definitions of ‘sex’, ‘men’, and ‘women’ under the Sex Discrimination (NI) Order 1976). Seeking legal clarity from the High Court will assist the Commission to develop final guidance for employers and service providers that is credible, workable and accurate. The aim of this strategy is to avoid litigation that would inevitably arise without greater legal certainty and could last many years."
