2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the UK’s Sex Discrimination Act, as well as the coming into force of the Equal Pay Act 1970. Fifty years later, how much progress has been made?

Well, quite a bit. But less than we might have hoped given that the event is listed as ‘gender equality at work’ rather than ‘sex equality at work’, and last time I looked the fawcett society wasn’t using gender as a harmless euphemism for sex.

The faucet society did a survey of Royal Institute of British Architects members. It was beyond awful. From the outset the muddled self id and sex. They have not a clue! They muddled other catalogues left right and centre. There is a really problem in the construction industry of women leaving or not progressing for lots of bloody good reasons

Ps they should be defunded by government
