Keir Starmer shakes up No 10 operation with mini-reshuffle (including Tim Allen who just recently left the board of SM, presumably in order to take the possition in government 👀)

A notable development given how effective SM's communication strategy has been.

The communications operation will also be shaken up with Tim Allan, an adviser to Tony Blair in No 10 who went on to fund the PR firm Portland, coming in as executive director of government communications. The political role is separate from that of David Dinsmore, who has been tasked with improving the civil service communications operation.

Strikes me that the penny has dropped at no10 at just how toxic to voters tra militancy is and how they need to get back in touch with the grass roots on this.

I'm guessing that Wes Streeting's position over the Darlington nurses has also put the wind up someone.
