An Australian sister and brother, who are fashion designers, have started an important campaign to fight ovarian cancer, which their mother died of. They have designed a range of t-shirts, tops and accessories to spread the message. Here's what they say:

Ovaries. Talk About Them. is a bold movement designed to get the world’s first DNA based early detection test to clinical trials in the next year. There is no test for ovarian cancer, even though it is the deadliest female cancer.

Years of chronic underfunding and a systemic bias in the medical system when it comes to women's health has meant that this disease - that impacts the lives of millions around the world every year - has not gotten the attention it deserves. For far too long women have been dismissed and overlooked and Ovaries. Talk About Them. exists to change that.

Over 310,000 women are diagnosed worldwide each year, with over 75% diagnosed in the late stages when it is often too late.

The statistics are getting worse, and we are running out of time.
By 2050, the number of women around the world diagnosed with ovarian cancer will rise over 55% to 503,448. The number of women dying from ovarian cancer each year is projected to increase to 350,956 an increase of almost 70% from 2022.

Now is the time to make an early detection test a reality.
Join us, and let’s make history together.
