Thanks anonymous graffiti-er for confirming that it isn't about quietly getting on with your life, it's about transgressing other people's boundaries and making sure they know it.

What a wonderfully mature contribution to the debate about the need for single sex spaces.

I've seen sex not gender and other gc sentiments written in toilets. I don't think it necessarily means the person writing it is s fetishist trying to intimidate. I think it's more likely that toilets have become symbolic of the "battle" and writing in there if a low risk way of fighting in the battle.

But they are males in the women’s toilets who should not be in there.
It is definitely an act of intimidation - “we can do what we want and you can’t physically stop us because we are bigger and stronger than you”

I think they feel like they are part of a resistance movement.
