This will go on for years w/ multiple cases. Obviously it would be far easier for the government to simply make a small amendment to the EqA rather than let UK trans rights lag behind Turkey and Romania, but they're more interested in being diet Reform than an actual even vaguely progressive party.

Also, if the UK ever wants to get back into the EU, this is going to be a stumbling block..given what's happened with the CJEU, so thanks GCs!

Blah Blah Blah Whatever GIF by Minions

Blah blah blah he’s simply having a little tantrum and they will laugh at him.

By "small amendment" you mean removing women's rights of course.

WarriorN · 19/08/2025 07:57

“This will go of for years with multiple cases”

fine, so be it. The law rooted in science will prove itself beyond all doubt. Women and girls are worth it and JKR knows that, hence her fund.

it will just serve to demonstrate the misogyny at the heart of transgenderist belief.

Read the other thread OP and educate yourself.

BaronessEllarawrosaurus · 19/08/2025 08:37

Yes but this particular op only starts threads. I suspect there's a bit of ritual humiliation going on over constantly having his ass handed to him.

Fizzer5 · 19/08/2025 08:47

Can it go on for years? How would that court justify itself to question a Supreme Court adding clarity to the application of a domestic law. The effect of the EA of 2009 & 2010 only affect people within UK.

BellissimoGecko · 19/08/2025 09:03

What rights do trans people lack? Their rights aren’t ‘lagging behind’ anything. Don’t be so silly.

But women’s and girls’ rights are important too.

Alltheprettyseahorses · 19/08/2025 10:09

Why would saying men can't go in women's toilets be a major stumbling block but the completely removal of women's recognotion in law as well as rights, safety, privacy and dignity not be?

The right to anything they damned well please!

Anything else is genocidal oppression, dontcha know?

6thformoptions · 19/08/2025 10:24

Ah the 6ft-er who refuses to abide by the law and not use female loos'. What a great use of legal funds.

nauticant · 19/08/2025 10:47

It's the right not to be told "no". Quite an innovation in the law.

Anyway, this thread is a poundshop version of the discussion, the other thread linked to above is much better.

Bloody entitled man. 😡

Because men are more important than women!! Of course.

This. Read the other thread, there’s no need to duplicate it.

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 20/08/2025 15:31

‘I intend to ensure that there will be no peace for the gender-critical ideological movement"

Well that is quite threatening isn't it? Like women have ever had peace from men trying to violate our boundaries and consent. 🙄
