This will go on for years w/ multiple cases. Obviously it would be far easier for the government to simply make a small amendment to the EqA rather than let UK trans rights lag behind Turkey and Romania, but they're more interested in being diet Reform than an actual even vaguely progressive party.

Also, if the UK ever wants to get back into the EU, this is going to be a stumbling block..given what's happened with the CJEU, so thanks GCs!

Can it go on for years? How would that court justify itself to question a Supreme Court adding clarity to the application of a domestic law. The effect of the EA of 2009 & 2010 only affect people within UK.

Why would saying men can't go in women's toilets be a major stumbling block but the completely removal of women's recognotion in law as well as rights, safety, privacy and dignity not be?
