Didn’t Protect the Dolls arise as a result of the Supreme Court ruling? Which the government she is part of supports.

Absolutely protect the dolls.

If men who are feminine, surgically altered or otherwise present differently are not safe with other men, we need to do something about those other men and Lisa Nandy as a member of the government is in a great position to help.

I look forward to her stepping up and saying so.

Yep. We need to reclaim words, and put them to better use.

TheUnusuallyQuerulentMxLauraBrown · 17/08/2025 19:35

I’m glad Lisa Nandy is already a giant disappointment to me as it means I am not further disappointed by her on reviewing this image.

Just giving a casual ¯\(ツ)/¯ and a mild self admonishment at being stupid enough to have ever thought she had the makings of a decent Labour MP.

CassOle · 17/08/2025 19:45

Protect the dolls! Apparently, you need to fill their heads with tissue paper... a handy tip, I feel.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/08/2025 19:48

Its a good tip for Nandy, fill the gap where her brain should be.

I am not surprised. I also suspect the glamour of being associated with that statement is appealing.

I find all dolls deeply creepy.

RedToothBrush · 17/08/2025 20:13

Hmm. Her GE constituency figures are interesting.
She's over confidence for a woman representing Wigan thats for sure.
If she thinks she's safe in that seat, she may yet have a rude awaking.
Shots like this, do not do much to help that.

You’ve given me Barbarella flashbacks!

(if the dolls in this were a foot taller than Jane Fonda it would be a pretty good representation of the TRA movement)

Livpool · 17/08/2025 20:31

Protect the dolls = I don’t give a shit about women

What Wigan is currently looking like on the Nowcast

I didn't have a clue they'd done that.

I just look at the last two elections and the number of UKIP/Con/Reform voters. Its likely the Tory vote will completely collapse.

Add in an incumbent government penalty to Labour and it looks tight.

They will push the narrative of the out of touch MP who spends too much time in Westminister and not in Wigan. And it will stick with stuff like this.

battymaggot · 17/08/2025 21:06

Nandy can't spell dolls; she makes mince seem clever. She typifies the low intellectual and moral calibre so many ' unfit for duty' politicos.

Wow she really is completely stupid.

She stood as party leader and, if I remember correctly, made it to the final ballot Shock

SionnachRuadh · 17/08/2025 21:57

I know we sometimes take the piss out of David Lammy, but Lammy can be thoughtful and intelligent when he puts his mind to it. You just have to shake him out of his laziness.

But Nandy's presence in the cabinet boggles my mind. She's such a silly woman.

AgentPidge · 17/08/2025 22:02

I feel really let down. I've always respected her. She's been a reliable panellist on Question Time and has always impressed me - she seems decent and level- headed. It's such a shame that her decency and common sense seems to have gone missing here.

Hurryupwearedreaming · 17/08/2025 22:07

Dolls and clowns…shudder.

JeremiahBullfrog · 17/08/2025 22:13

If they want to dehumanize themselves as "dolls" then let them, I say. Better than calling themselves women.

bigboots303 · 17/08/2025 22:25

Personally I have always thought dolls quite scary and weird. Not sure why anyone would want to be described as one.

JanesLittleGirl · 17/08/2025 23:00

Hey Lisa! Get that slogan on the door of every male toilet and changing room. Trans women are protected in this space.

The dolls aren't too happy about this either ..

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/08/2025 23:58

They really are so self obsessed that they have no idea how much Nandy beclowns herself for their cause. Sad times.

murasaki · 18/08/2025 00:01

She's really as thick as mince, isn't she. Not as thick as Whittome, but that's setting the bar so low a worm couldn't limbo under it.

moto748e · 18/08/2025 04:06

I didn't need any more reasons for not voting for her, but LN continues to provide them. Appalling woman, Keeping Wigan out of the hands of Reform would be a tough ask by any measure, but she's killed it dead.
