Good Substack here listing all the dubious things Peter Tatchell has said and done including his dismissal of women’s rights. God knows why he’s still seen as reputable gay rights activist. The bloke urgently needs his hard drive looking at:

That’s a thorough compilation of all the material on Mumsnet FWR that is so difficult to find (R0wantree, I miss you still). Well done Sarah.

Has Rowantree gone? I don’t really keep track of everything but Rowantree is a stand out name.

The whole lot together is really awful. Thanks, Sarah.

Long gone from FWR.

I miss so many.

I remember Peter Tatchell rom way back. I thought he was a very disturbing individual back then and still do today. I can only think of one reason why he is still revered as a LGBT rights spokesperson, (and pops up on the BBC regularly) and that must be because he knows things that certain people want to keep secret.

Sadly I think the reason why he's still in the public eye isn't as sinister as him knowing things about people. It's simply because the journalistic and entertainment industries don't seem to have a filter.
Look how Russel Brand was a contestant on Bake Off after certain things were brought to light (before the main accusations). Chris Evans apparently regularly dropped his pants on TFI Friday. Boy George did Who Do You Think You Are after his prison stint. That Canadian fella on Torchwood was always dropping his pants and Tennant and Tate just laughed at him.

I heard him being interviewed on one of the bbc slots after the S C judgement, he was discussing TW in sport. I think he was up against the fabulous Sharron Davies IIRC. He was completely, embarrassingly out of his depth, desperate enough to argue that TW shouldn’t be banned from women’s sport because some men are short. As well as the weakness of his arguments, to me he sounded like someone who had had a bit too much of a good time in his youth - his speech was slow and wobbly.

I suspect that the Beeb is looking g for someone a bit more robust to interview the next time this topic comes to national attention. It’ll be interesting to see if there’s anyone out there who is more… on the ball.

Its A great list and reminder of his dodge.

I took remember him from way back. The Sun totally persecuted him when he ran for parliament. I did think he was the wrong candidate for Bermondsey. But I didn't realise just how wrong. Mea Culpa ..

Men get away with shocking behaviour every day, bottom line of patriarchal society - "boy will be boys" no matter that women and girls are damaged.
