Giving feedback (followed an ad about Have you recently sought help with symptoms of the menopause? We want to hear your feedback and whether you could get the care you needed.)

Whilst I assume the form is used for everyone giving feedback ... I was going along fine with the generic questions until I got to Q8.

https://www.healthwatch.co.uk/have-your-say

Q8: Please tell us your gender:
Woman/Man/Non-binary/Prefer not to say / Prefer to self describe.
Q:9: Is your gender identity the same as your sex recorded at birth.

Q10: Sexual orientation
None
Asexual
Bisexual
Gay Man
Heterosexual / Straight
Lesbian / Gay woman
Pansexual
Prefer not to say
Prefer to self-describe.

I had a look at Healthwatch's menopause survey after a female representative came and gave a talk to a women's group I occasionally attend. No, not a feminist group, but one with a huge ranges of ages, nationalities, and abilities in English.

Not only did the researchers ask such stupid, unscientific, ill-thought-out questions confusing sex and gender, and assuming that gender was relevant to all respondents, but they also wanted to know if I was a gay man. Why would a gay man be reporting his experience of menopause? Why on earth should he have any input regarding menopause services?

I did not bother submitting a response. They'll not get any useable data from those nonsensical questions.
