Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Actually, of course, Martin Tarling, a male fetishist.

giuspeace · 08/08/2025 18:51

Reported on the BBC news site as "She". No doubt the BBC will again, reassure me that their news coverage is unbiased when I complain.

lcakethereforeIam · 08/08/2025 18:51

I think I'd forgotten the Daily Mirror existed. What a dog of a site. It it was run by AI out of someone's bedroom I wouldn't be surprised.

Nearly as broken as the pervert they were 'reporting' on.

Milliejacksonhouseforsale · 08/08/2025 19:12

Not a woman but a creature.🤮

SunnyPrague · 08/08/2025 19:14

Sick, disgusting pervert.

RonaldMcDonald · 09/08/2025 06:22

Annoying as I am no longer sure how these crimes are being recorded. Are police now recording this as something a man has done or are these actions to be attributed to women?

They'll be attributed to women presumably - that's certainly what the trans lobby groups demand in their campaigns to have to have perverted men like this referred to as women?

I do wonder why the police / judiciary don't get accused of lying / perverting the course of justice when they choose to refer to someone like this as the wrong sex?

WarriorN · 09/08/2025 07:16

BBC report. Uses “her”…..

in this context i actually welcome the her as its so bloody obvious it’s a disgusting man…

WarriorN · 09/08/2025 07:23

The excusing of the fetish is horrific

WarriorN · 09/08/2025 07:24

In mitigation, Nick Lane said Taylor's motivations were not sexual but regressing into childhood behaviour was a "coping mechanism" for stress and a "comfort" to address childhood trauma.

fuck off

RonaldMcDonald · 09/08/2025 07:32

The problem with putting men’s crimes in the women column is that it skews all manner of things from funding, to research to most importantly public perception of women. Not everyone will see these photographs and might hear a radio story for instance. For them this grotesque crimes have been committed by a woman. In the future when this is looked at without context it will seem a woman did this and on and on.
I genuinely hate this

Igmum · 09/08/2025 07:38

Agree Ronald. These need to be correctly reported using both sex and gender identity. Back in the day, Police officers were taught that TW were an increased risk for committing crimes. Now it isn’t acceptable for that to be said and the Police actively collude in concealing these crimes.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 09/08/2025 07:47

He's a deviant and a fucking nutter. It's also blatantly obvious he's a man and we know why he was naked from the waist down; to expose his penis. If I was a judge, I absolutely would not allow men like this to be referred to as she. We all know it's part of the kink making people refer to them as women.

Years ago he'd have been locked up. Either in prison or a psychiatric hospital.

lcakethereforeIam · 09/08/2025 10:41

So he's been doing this for years, been caught and punished for it but was still persisting with it. We've not heard the last of this guy.

Oh, and 'Nick Lane said Taylor's motivations were not sexual but regressing into childhood behaviour was a "coping mechanism"'? I know the defence has to do the best for their clients but I didn't believe they were allowed to lie. I don't know of any children who were left to play with soiled nappies so wtf was this guy regressing to? If Nick Lane truly believed what he was saying then I've got some shares in a treacle mine to sell him.

I suspect Abbi's childhood was a horror story. Although if so it's only alluded to, not expressly reported and would be weird that he'd want to regress there. I therefore have my doubts.

CorruptedCauldron · 09/08/2025 12:22

This repulsive man is a pervert and I believe his behaviour is likely to escalate if he is allowed to roam free. Trying to excuse his fetish is pathetic and shows just how far society has been “queered”. I don’t think this man is safe to be anywhere near children.

The media do not have to refer to him as a woman in their reporting. They have chosen to do so. The fact that they are happy to she/her the sicko shows just how entrenched in misogyny they have become. It is dishonest reporting, and extremely insulting to real women.

Mollyollydolly · 09/08/2025 14:22

I wish we could go straight to Ofcom rather than BBC complaints. Referring to this man with a particularly unpleasant fetish as 'she' really is laughable. I will never understand how the BBC can't see how much damage it does to their reputation. We need some other way to approach this, BBC complaints doesn't seem to have any effect at all.

Fenlandia · 09/08/2025 15:01

Suspended sentence despite all that previous offending and breaching court orders? What a joke.

hellsbells99 · 26/08/2025 18:35

I complained to IPSO about the Mirror article stating it was inaccurate as the crime was committed by a man not a woman. I have eventually had an email back. It very politely tells me to get stuffed.

SootherSue · 26/08/2025 18:48

But haven't we all enjoyed a girly day out rubbing excrement on things and climbing into bins? A staple of experience of womanhood, surely?

hellsbells99 · 26/08/2025 19:34

I just can’t believe that the press aren’t made to report crimes accurately 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m a bit ignorant of the process but is there a way we could start a petition to put to the culture secretary? We could list all of the examples of the BBC doing this and hopefully shame them into making changes to their style guide. I’m not sure how to do this - does anyone know?

PeonyPatch · 27/08/2025 04:34

I am absolutely disgusted. This is a man, not a woman. His crimes are inexcusable and could escalate to much more serious offences. Just look at the Sarah Everard case!

I am in full support of a petition — why the culture secretary though? Due to the reporting? I think the justice secretary and minister for women and equality need writing to - this is skewing stats and isn’t right. This is a man identifying as a woman which is trans. This is not a female crime.
