I wonder if other papers/the BBC will report this, and in what terms? This one seems to scrupulously, but without any unnatural sentence construction, avoid pronouns and certainly no pretence Hardy is anything other than a man regardless of his identity. The choice of words is highly pertinent in this case as it’s all about deceptive names/online personae.

I can't read the article, but what's the likelihood that some MRApologist will come on this thread and post something along the lines of:

In this case the perp is transgender.

It's plain that he needs to be monitored for the rest of his life. Is he the one who was arrested for filming in a women's toilets, in Durham?
