ARTICLE 8 the right to respect for private and family life, and Article 12 the right to marry, are used as to justify the requirement for the UK government to legally recognise people as the opposite sex. (Redundant, now that same-sex marriage is legal.)

8.1 Everyone has the right to respect for his private and family life, his home and his correspondence.

But why is 8.2, which is not mentioned in Article 12 but appears in similar form in many other Articles, not used as an argument for removing the GRA from our law?

8.2 There shall be no interference by a public authority with the exercise of this right except such as is in accordance with the law and is necessary in a democratic society in the interests of national security, public safety or the economic well-being of the country, for the prevention of disorder or crime, for the protection of health or morals, or for the protection of the rights and freedoms of others.

Enabling men to access female single-sex spaces has resulted in crimes: women and girls being assaulted and raped. Medical transition causes long-term ill-health. Telling children that they may not be the sex they are, or that they have to pretend that somebody is not the sex they are, is immoral as it subverts safeguarding. Multiple court cases have demonstrated that transgenderism illegally restricts the rights and freedoms of others.

Isn’t it time to recognise this?

We'd far rather not go stealth. But GCs relentless drive to embed discrimination in law has left us with no choice.

You are lying.

You DO have a choice.

You don't want to take responsibility for that choice.

We have made a point because women have been lied to, abused and their dignity and privacy not respected.

WE WANT TRANSPARENCY.

If transparency is not acceptable to transpeople then YOU have a problem, not us, because its central in safeguarding.

If you want to remove safeguarding we have a RIGHT to point out why this is so dangerous and harmful. And its tough titty if you don't like it.

You have the options of using men's spaces or seeking out individual changing and toilet cubicles. Saying you have no choice but to use women's spaces is neither true nor reasonable. What exactly do you mean by "going stealth"? Dressing in fully concealing clothing and not speaking?

RedToothBrush · 09/08/2025 21:43

As I pointed out earlier - i went to a bar today with a women's / men's / everyone's.

You COULD campaign for that and use third party facilities.

But thats not good enough and a bit too much like hard work.

So NO you DO have a choice. You are just too damn lazy and disrespectful to take it.

AYoungTransWoman · 09/08/2025 21:32

A cis woman might also be there to commit assault. So might anyone.

That is absurd. Over 98% of sexual crimes are committed by males and 84% of violent crimes are committed by males. This is borne out in what women witness throughout their lives.

What you are saying is for the birds. It is entirely understandable that a female will not feel comfortable with a male in female only provision. It is nothing short of ridiculous that this reflects transphobia.

No, YOU do not get to campaign to strip oppressed groups of their human rights then pretend you're pro safeguarding.

You are literally making the lives of a tiny group of people unlivable based on nothing more than fear and hatred, then have the gaul to pretend like you are the victim here.

Let's not forget that anti-trans activism has literally killed people. Brianna Ghey lives in our hearts forever as a girl murdered by transphobia.

So you admit to being a creep who deliberately wants to mislead women and go against their consent?

Good stuff. At least you admit it.

I agree. I would personally think any man (even those who dress it up as something else) who was deliberately transgressing the boundaries of women and girls was a creep.

Why should I roll over and accept being segregated into a third space? Would you like being segregated into a third space?

What you are actually complaining about is that the law won't discriminate in your favour.

I cannot use the mens as I'm not a man, don't look like a man, and would cause distress to men if I walked into the mens.

My voice is fine, I get gendered correctly on the phone to strangers because I stopped my puberty before it finished wrecking my body.

Yes, by MEN. Not Trans People.

I wasn’t referring to trans people. I was referring to males. Within this category sits all natal males, regardless of trans identities.

People with trans identities have a sex, and to suggest otherwise is ridiculous

Men are the danger, not trans women. It wasn't a trans woman who SA'd me, it was a man who wouldn't take no for a fucking answer.

AYoungTransWoman · 09/08/2025 19:17

It may well not be, but it doesn't really matter. I know that I'm not suddenly going to become a cis woman ever, as much as I'd want to be.

However, living the way I am now is still so, so much better than what I was before. I know it's not perfect, but it's closer.

Other than your persistent invasion of women's single-sex spaces, how is the way you live now different from living 'as a man'?

Is it just invading women's spaces that makes you happier?

Pumpkinforever · 09/08/2025 21:57

AYoungTransWoman · 09/08/2025 21:47

So you're concerned that men might be distressed at seeing a man who wants to be a woman in the men's toilets, but you're not the least bit concerned that women are telling you that they would be distressed if you (a male) were in the women's toilets.

Anyway, @RapidOnsetGenderCritic has already said that he has no problem with people like you using the men's. I'm sure most men would be the same. Have you asked them all?

You want one category of males - only- to have the privilege of using women's facilities whether the women want you there or not. That is privileging you above women and above other kinds of males.

I think most men would be distressed seeing someone who looks like a woman with breasts getting undressed in a changing room.

Why should I roll over and accept being segregated into a third space? Would you like being segregated into a third space?

Because

  1. Women outnumber you.
  2. You aren't a woman. Even the supreme court says so.
  3. You should respect women and all women are worthy of respect.
  4. Women are humans too. And thus also have human rights.
  5. All rights have to be balanced. There IS a conflict of rights - despite comments on this thread saying there isn't, otherwise you wouldn't be whinging when you don't get your own way.
  6. Third spaces are for everyone. Women can use them. Men can use them. Transwomen can use them. Transmen can use them. They are, by definition open to all. They are not segregated.
  7. Third spaces are perfectly fine if all you need a toilet for is pissing.
  8. Safeguarding is a legitimate concern whether you like it or not.
  9. Privacy and Dignity for female bodies can not happen in the presence of male bodies regardless of what you think.
  10. Women are not support humans for validation.
  11. I want doesn't get.
  12. 'Waaaaaahhhh waaaahhhhhhhhhh wahhhhhh its not fair' is not a valid argument.
  13. Tough titty. Its not all about you and what YOU want.
  14. This post more than any on this thread demostrates that you are not a woman and think you should have privileges over women.
  15. Stealthing is creepy, anti-social behaviour that gives women the willies (pun completely intended). Don't do it, unless you want women to treat you accordingly.
  16. The answer is still no.

HTH
