Pride in Surrey must not carry on as if its founder’s crimes are a footnote in its history. Stephen Ireland, once its public face, was convicted of child r*pe and sentenced to 24 years. Despite this, there has been no change to the leadership, and the group plans to proceed with its flagship Pride event in Guildford on 6th September 2025 with - with Ireland's ex-fiancé as CEO! Guildford Borough Council continues to host and support the event. This kind of institutional blindness, where officials prioritise virtue signalling over basic child protection, is unacceptable. Men and women from brilliant groups—Let Women Speak, LGB Alliance, WRN Surrey, Women of Surrey, and more—gathered in Guildford today to expose the Pride in Surrey scandal. Locals were urged to lobby councillors to cancel next month’s event. Strong support from parents, teachers & others

Incomprehensible that's it's all still going ahead with related characters at the helm. Have there been any statements from the police, fire service etc who were once so keen to align themselves with this? Anybody with an ounce of sense would be reverse ferreting so fast they leave 6" deep skid marks.
